Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin told Friday’s Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti that demarcation between Serbs and Albanians should be implemented as soon as possible.
The sooner we achieve demarcation, the sooner Serbia can focus on itself and the Serbs outside its borders, he said and added that he would like to see his stand adopted by the president and government.
Serbian Minister of Defense Aleksandar Vulin reacted to a ban to visit Kosovo along with a military medical delegation saying it is yet another evidence that Ramush Haradinaj was lying, RTS reports.
“I would recall that he told our Prime Minister it is not true that officials of the Republic of Serbia are banned to visit Kosovo and Metohija. We have deconstructed yet another lie and yet another violation of all the agreements were displayed,” Vulin said.

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director Marko Djuric said yesterday Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin’s statement that a delimitation between Serbs and Albanians should occur as soon as possible is not “an attack on Serbia’s Constitution,” KoSSev portal reports.
Djuric said Vulin had a courage to express his position, adding that everyone “within the internal dialogue“ has the right to say how the Kosovo issue should be resolved.
Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vulin said if the EU does not want Serbia in its ranks, "there are those who do." There are other alliances and other nations who want to cooperate as equals, Vulin added.
"We are not condemned to Europe. The EU is Serbia's strategic orientation, but not at the price of begging," Vulin told TV Pink on Thursday.
The Union of Serbia’s army said late on Tuesday that because it was not satisfied with the work of Defence Minister Aleksandar Vulin, the military would not violently change the regime, but neither would it ever go against its people, the Beta news agency reported.
The Union’s statement also called on the respective institutions and President Aleksandar Vucic to immediately prevent Vulin’s “subversive, criminal, fascist and anti-constitutional actions.”
Serbia's top military brass is meeting this Tuesday in Belgrade. The Collegium of the Minister of Defense and the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Army will consider the security situation in the country and its surroundings.
The meeting is presided by Defense Minster Aleksandar Vulin and held in the Banjica 2 barracks in the capital, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
