Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director Marko Djuric said today decision of the Central Election Commission in Pristina to deny right to Serbs to cast the vote with Serbian ID cards, respectively, with valid personal documents runs contrary to the applicable laws that Pristina made itself and represents an attempt to politically “erase the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija,” with an administrative instruction, Kosovo-online portal reports.

Srpska Lista assessed today decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC) in Pristina that only voters with Kosovo documents may cast the vote in the upcoming elections is unlawful and represents a flagrant violation of the law, aiming to deny the Serbs their right to vote and elect their legitimate representatives, Kosovo-online portal reports.

Representatives of the Serbian List have protested the decision of the Central Election Commission to prevent voters from voting with Serbian documents in early parliamentary elections in Kosovo on October 6, reported all Serbian media.

The Serbian List sent letters to the international missions in Pristina because of the CEC decision, saying that it was a violation of the law and asked to rectify this unilateral decision.

“Srpska Lista is a force that brings together our people in Kosovo and Metohija and does not need to use any dirty tricks to regain the trust of voters, which was repeatedly confirmed,” SL said reacting to the Independent Liberal Party (SLS) leader Slobodan Petrovic’s statement about the pressure exerted on opponents of Srpska Lista, Radio Mitrovica sever reports.

The opposition Alliance for Serbia (SzS) said today it will not take part “in the fake elections in Kosovo and Metohija, same as in the rest of Serbia,” KoSSev portal reports today.

The Alliance further said that in Kosovo “there were neither minimal conditions for free and fair elections, nor for equal presentation of the programe and ideas”.

SzS added “that blackmails, violence, threats and hunt by the SNS (Serbian Progressive Party) regime in Kosovo and Metohija serve only to prolong the keeping of our people in a position of a hostage of the two criminal groups”.

A member of Kosovo Central Election Commission (CEC) Stevan Veselinovic left the CEC session after it decided that all documents of the voters in the early parliamentary elections on October 6 had to be issued by Pristina, BETA news agency reports on Tuesday.

Veselinovic said that such a move violated the law and electoral rules which CEC should implement.

“The decision violets Election Law’s article 90 and Election Rules article 16 which stipulate that during the vote, all valid IDs can be used except the drivers’ licenses which must be issued in Kosovo,” he added.

Ahead of the seventh extraordinary parliamentary elections in Kosovo scheduled for October 6, the Kosovo Serb political scene is divided over whether to participate in these elections, or not, while those willing to take a chance are confronted by the in so far major Kosovo Serb force – Srpska Lista, KoSSev portal reports.

Coalition of Displaced Persons from Kosovo has given its full support and made all its resources available to the Serbian List for the upcoming elections in Kosovo on October 6, reads a press release.

Coalition urged all displaced persons with voting rights to support the Serbian List in the name of unanimity and Serbian unity in Kosovo.
