Kosovo’s analyst: Vucic and Thaci discuss territory swap all the time (N1)

Thaci can still avoid elections, say interlocutors of Danas from Kosovo (Danas)

It is still uncertain whether the Pristina parliament will be dissolved on August 22, which would allow early elections to be called, claim Danas's interlocutors from Kosovo.

Some sources of daily Danas unofficially state that it should be seen whether two-thirds of MPs will vote to dissolve the parliament, and that Kosovo's President Hashim Thaci still can avoid going to the polls.

Unnamed diplomatic circles told Belgrade based daily Blic that representatives of Berlin and Paris will hold a series of unofficial meetings with Haradinaj and Thaci this week to prepare for a meeting on July 1 in Paris.

Blic reports today, citing a diplomatic source that several meetings have already been held.

Kosovo president Hashim Thaci dismisses Serb advisor (Serbian media)

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci dismissed his political advisor Branislav Nikolic following claims of his alleged involvement in “dubious activities directed against the constitutional order and sovereignty of Kosovo”, a statement said on Wednesday.

The statement from the president’s cabinet said that Thaci took media reports about Nikolic’s dubious activities seriously even though he did not have any official report about those alleged activities by his Serb advisor from any security service.

The justice minister of Serbia Nela Kuburovic told Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti that she is not sure that at the beginning of the Court's work, charges will be raised against high-ranking persons, replying to a question whether she expects Kosovo Prosecutor's Office to indict Hashim Thaci, Ramush Haradinaj and Kadri Veseli.

"If there was a will, that would have already happened," the minister said in an interview with today's Vecernje Novosti.

The Kosovo authorities marked the 20th anniversary of the withdrawal of Serbian security forces at an event in central Pristina which was attended by former US officials and NATO commanders, while Director of the office for KiM Marko Djuric, a Belgrade official described the event as "the dance of the vampires," the Beta news agency reported.

Blic: Kosovo scenario ready, if a Paris meeting happens (Serbian media)

Belgrade based daily Blic writes today that framework could be formulated for resolving the Kosovo problem at the meeting of the region's leaders with Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron in Paris on July 1.

According to the daily, the final proposal should be harmonized by the end of the year.

If such a scenario comes up, Blic writes, a referendum on Kosovo could be held together with regular parliamentary elections in the spring of next year.

Vucic, Thaci debate dialogue at GLOBSEC conference (FoNet, Beta, N1)

The Presidents of Serbia and Kosovo clashed over the stalled Belgrade-Pristina dialogue at a GLOBSEC conference in Bratislava on Friday.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told a panel debate that Belgrade is prepared to continue the dialogue as soon as Pristina revokes the 100 percent tariffs it imposed on goods from Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. His Kosovo counterpart Hashim Thaci replied saying that the dialogue cannot continue if conditions are being set which, according to him, is what Serbia is doing.

Vulin: Thaci's statement is the killing of dialogue (KIM radio, TV Pink)

Statement by Hashim Thaci that Community/Association of Serbian municipalities (ZSO) will not be formed is the best test for the authority of the European Union, said Aleksandar Vulin, Serbian Minister of Defense, reports KIM radio, quoting Belgrade based TV Pink.

According to Vulin, if this statement goes without sanctions, it will mean that the EU is leaving the Western Balkans both in diplomatic and security terms.
