Pristina had implemented most of provisions deriving from the Brussels Agreement, whereas Belgrade has a very problematic history in that regard, assessed Deputy Foreign Affairs Minister of Kosovo Petrit Selimi.

Deputy Head of the EULEX Joelle Vachter said that she believes that the implementation of the Brussels agreement on judiciary will contribute to improving the lives of citizens in the north. 

When will start implementation of the agreement and what kind of role in this process will have EULEX? 

We expect further steps regarding the implementation of this agreement. We are ready to implement the agreement at any time. 

Which obstacles do you expect in the implementation? 

Is Kosovo, which today marks the seventh anniversary of the unilateral declaration of independence, closer to the "chair" in the UN, bearing in mind the results of the Brussels talks, announced legally binding agreement between Belgrade and Pristina and the number of 96 countries that recognized Kosovo.  

Kosovo Deputy Foreign Minister Petrit Selimi in a talk show “Slobodno Srpski” said that Trepca Complex will not be the topic of the Brussels talks. "According to the Ahtisaari plan everything in Kosovo belongs to Kosovo. Kosovo ownership can only be discussed by the people who live in Kosovo, not Belgrade. With Belgrade we can talk about the debt - what Kosovo owes to Belgrade and vice versa," Selimi said. 

DS deputy in Serbian parliament, Borislav Stefanovic said today that it is good that an agreement was reached on the judiciary but is not good, unfortunately, that the public still does not know what specifically was agreed in Brussels.

Stefanovic said that the authorities should tell the Serbs from Kosovo who will work in the court and which laws will apply to the north of the province, stating that the laws of Kosovo would apply.

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa last night in Brussels signed an agreement on the judiciary.

"This agreement ensures the participation of Serb judges in the north of Kosovo," Vucic said after the meeting. The Serbian government said on its website that the agreement was initialed.

The trilateral meeting of EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy Federica Mogherini with delegations from Belgrade and Pristina was completed shortly after two o'clock in the morning.

Considering the fact that the opening of the first chapter in the negotiations between Serbia and the EU depends on the implementation of the Brussels Agreement, we asked officials from the Office for KIM for the list of the agreements, which Serbia has implemented so far. 

The Brussels Agreement was signed in April 2013 by the then Prime Ministers of Serbia and Kosovo, Ivica Dacic and Hashim Thaci. On 22 May, both PMs agreed in Brussels about the plan for implementation of the agreement on the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina. 

Ljubomir Maric, Kosovo's minister of administration and local self-government from the Serb people, said on Monday that the formation of a community of Serb municipalities (ZSO) will be among the main topics of the next meeting held as part of the Brussels dialogue.

In a statement to Tanjug, Maric said that the ZSO formation is also the main point of the coalition agreement, which the Citizens' Initiative Srpska signed with (ethnic) Albanian parties to form the government.

Requests for strengthening the independence of Kosovo, pressures on Belgrade to impose sanctions on Russia and attempts to weaken Republika Srpska will be the biggest political challenges of Serbia in 2015.
