Djuric: Brussels Agreement the only one relevant to Belgrade (KIM radio)

The agreement signed in Brussels on August 25 is the only one that is relevant to Belgrade, the head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric said on Tuesday, commenting on speculations that the Constitutional Court of Kosovo decided that the Community/Association of Serbian (ZSO) Municipalities is in accordance with the law and the Constitution.

Kosovo Minister for Local Self- Government Ljubomir Maric said that the Serbs in Kosovo were intimidated and afraid that the riots in Pristina might spill over into areas with Serbian majority.

He told Vecernje Novosti that the events in Pristina were internal conflict within the Albanian community, but that one should respond promptly to these events, because that could lead, as he said, to destabilization of the situation in Kosovo.

The riots in Pristina, because of the agreement on the Community / Association of Serb municipalities (ZSO) and dialogue with Belgrade, provide an alibi for the Government of Kosovo to hamper the implementation of the Brussels agreement, said Milovan Drecun, Chairman of the Serbian Parliamentary Committee for Kosovo.

Dacic will attend UNSC session on Kosovo (Blic)

The UN Security Council will discuss tomorrow in New York the new report of Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Kosovo. Serbian political representatives from Pristina stated that their participation in Kosovo government would be senseless in case the Community / Association of Serb municipalities (ZSO) will not be formed. “We will support the Serbian List in their struggle for full implementation of coalition agreement. We are also offering support to our representatives related to the participation equal to the other members of the ruling coalition,” said Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo, Marko Djuric.

Serbs could leave the Kosovo government over failure to implement deal (B92)

Ahead of a final decision of the Constitutional Court in Pristina, Belgrade is saying it has no intention of giving up on what was signed in Brussels.

Representatives of Serbs in Kosovo are announcing they could leave the government if the Community/Association of Serbian Municipalities (ZSO) is not formed.

Although Serbia has no alternative to dialogue, the possibility of breaking off the Kosovo talks is not being ruled out.

The crises of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, related to the recent decision of Kosovo authorities to suspend formation of the ZSO, will not influence opening of the negotiation chapters with the EU. According to some information, official Belgrade still leads a diplomatic action to change the text of the unacceptable draft negotiating plan for Chapter 35, which could be opened already in December.

Kosovo's Constitutional Court should not declare about any opinion related to the Agreement on the Community / Association of Serbian municipalities (ZSO), since the highest political representatives agreed to it, with the mediation of the EU in Brussels. Pristina just needs to implement this agreement, said Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo, Marko Djuric.
