Chinese President Xi Jinping has invited Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to the second Belt and Road forum on international cooperation.

The gathering will be held in Beijing on April 25-27, Tanjug reported, citing a press release from the Serbian president's office.

Serbian Assembly Committee on Kosovo and Metohija chair Milovan Drecun has assessed that the creation of Greater Albania is an irreversible process.

Drecun also told Belgrade based TV Pink that this will be created "in one form or the other" and that this is being done in order to create a counterpoint to Serbia - a territory that could, with its size, resources and population be able to compete with Serbia.

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic say no one can claim that the Kosovo issue will be resolved in 2019.

He also pointed out that the fact that the Brussels dialogue has been stopped for months does not mean that a solution is not being sought.

Ivica Dacic says that Serbia will in 2019 certainly intensively deal with the issue of Kosovo and Metohija, and "probably in a different format than until now."

"No one can say - we will solve Kosovo and Metohija next year, at least no serious politician in our country and abroad. As far as I'm concerned, I would like to have an agreement and a solution tomorrow, but that's not realistic, many more things need to fall into place," the foreign minister told the weekly Nedeljnik.

A retired Yugoslav diplomat Vladislav Jovanovic assessed that Serbia’s right to sovereignty over Kosovo and Metohija is stronger than the right of self-declared Kosovo to its own sovereignty, saying other countries that have interests in the Balkans would decide on the resolution of Kosovo issue, and not only the US, Blic daily reported.

Aleksandar Vucic informed Chinese Ambassador Li Manchang about "the danger of the announced formation of the army of the so-called Kosovo on December 14."

Vucic asked Li to, as a friend of Serbia, "regularly report to the Chinese leadership on the development of the situation in Kosovo and Metohija," the Serbian president's cabinet said in a press release on Tuesday.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Prime Minister Ana Brnabic have asked China's Ambassador in Belgrade, Li Manchang to inform the Chinese leadership that Serbia “has never been in a more difficult situation.”

Ambassador Li responded to this by saying he will notify the President of China about the issue in the course of the day.

A stormy night has passed in Belgrade after Pristina decided to impose 100 percent taxes goods coming from central Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, B92 reports today.

The Council for National Security met, while before that, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic separately spoke with the ambassadors of Russia and China posted in Belgrade, and then with those from the EU and the US, and their "Quint" allies. Vucic specified that Serbia will not impose any counter-measures because, as a reliable partner, it does not wish to violate either EU's SAA or the regional free trade CEFTA deal.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic thanked the President of China, Xi Jinping and Ambassador to Serbia Li Manchang for the support that China extended to Serbia in preserving its territorial integrity, Tanjug news agency reported.

During the working meeting with Ambassador Li, Vucic particularly thanked the President Xi, China and delegation of this country in Interpol, for unlimited supported, in respecting the international law, despite strong pressure from some western countries to breach integrity of the Republic of Serbia and enable Kosovo membership in Interpol.

During the debate on Kosovo at UN SC on Wednesday, the representative of Russia emphasized that he fully agreed with the assessments of Ivica Dacic, pointing out that there are serious and deep problems in Kosovo that require urgent resolution.

"The stories about some ideal situation in Kosovo do not impress us at all," the Russian representative said, adding that six years after the signing of the Brussels agreement, the Community of Serb Municipalities has not been formed, that Pristina blocked the process, while Belgrade fulfilled all its obligations.
