Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, Enver Hoxhaj, said in an interview for TV Art that Kosovo has good relations with the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia but that communication between the two countries may suffer as a result of the mistreatment of Albanians arrested in the Kumanovo case. “The Kumanovo incident has been overcome but what often makes the relations with Skopje difficult is the mistreatment of inmates during their transport from prison to the court. We have raised our concerns at the political level because this is unacceptable.

Sulejman Osmani also known as Commander Sula was extradited yesterday from Kosovo to Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM). The 55-year-old was arrested in Kosovo in July 2015, following an international arrest warrant issued by FYROM for his involvement in the armed incident in Kumanovo last year.

The Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Xhavit Haliti, today proposed that Kosovo’s Interior Minister, Skender Hyseni, shall report to the Assembly on the armed incident that happened in Kumanovo, FYROM, a few months ago where allegedly several Kosovo citizens were involved. Meanwhile, the Vetevendosje Movement MP, Ilir Deda, expressed his concern over the security situation in Kosovo.  Deda said it is not a good image for Kosovo that some people forcibly removed fences at the government building.

Kosovo MPs are to form a commission to clarify whether politicians had any previous knowledge about suspected terrorist groups in Macedonia - including information on those involved in the fighting in Kumanovo.

Kosovo's parliament is to ccompile a report on all previous knowledge possessed by relevant security institutions relating to the “suspicious movements” of Kosovo citizens in Macedonia.

Media reports have claimed that some of the young men arrested or killed in Kumanovo on May 9th were already being investigated by the Kosovo police.

The so-called National Liberation Army (NLA) through a press release stated today that “justice will severely punish the betrayal on the serious incident in Kumanovo, the gangs of Ali Ahmeti, Menduh Thaci and some Kosovo politicians, who in cooperation with Nikola Gruevski, Sasa Mihajlkov and Georgana Jankulovska organized the massacre of 9 and 10 May.”

Valon Kabashi from Orahovac, who was killed during the conflict in Kumanovo, was first identified member of the Albanian National Army, which the United Nations declared as a terrorist organization.  Kosovo Albanian media published a photo of Valon Kabashi in a uniform of Albanian National Army, announcing the funeral of eight members of the "Kumanovo Group".

A delegation of the Vetevendosje Movement has visited the residents of Kumanovo on Monday. The delegation was represented by Driton Caushi, Glauk Konjufca, Aida Derguti and Salih Salihu. They met with residents of whose houses were damaged during the armed incident two weeks ago.

Members of the European Parliament on Wednesday urged international investigation into the armed incident that happened in Kumanovo, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) two weeks ago. During the yesterday’s plenary session, MEPs called on the European Parliament to support FYROM on its road towards the EU, but urged respect for the rights of all its citizens. Austrian MEP Ulrike Lunacek said that she was shocked by the incident in Kumanovo."There should be an independent investigation on what happened there.

The bodies of the nine Kosovars that were killed in the Kumanovo fighting will not be returned to Kosovo today. Citing unnamed sources, the news site reports that the family members today will only identify the bodies in Skopje. The same source said that the bodies would be returned in the next couple of days.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said today in Pristina that Kosovo is not a destabilizing factor and that it had nothing to do with the latest incidents in Kumanovo, in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. He also said that stability in FYROM means stability in the region, including Kosovo. Mustafa made these remarks during the regular meeting of the Kosovo government.
