Displaced from Djakovica/Gjakove seek to visit their hometown (Blic, KIM radio)

"We request for the Serbs from Djakovica to be free to go to the city where they were born," said Djokica Stanojevic, the President of the Association of Displaced from Djakovica/Gjakove to KIM radio.

Stanojevic said that the displaced Serbs from this city are aware that every visit to their native town Djakovica/Gjakove is a danger and the possibility of endangering lives and that is why he requested yesterday from representatives of the US Embassy in Pristina to enable them to attend the upcoming All Souls' Day on Saturday.

GI SDP: No more obstacles for ZSO constitution (dailies)

The agreement reached by Belgrade and Pristina in the continuation of the dialogue on normalisation of relations removed the obstacle for the constitution of the Community of Serb municipalities (ZSO), Citizens' Initiative 'Freedom, Democracy, Justice' (GI SDP) stated on Tuesday.

GI SDP recalled that the achievement of the agreement posed an obstacle to the talks on ZSO constitution for almost a year.

Now that the obstacle has been removed, we hope that the agreement on constitution and functioning of ZSO would be achieved soon, GI SDP released.

Diocese: Temple on the land of the Serbian Orthodox Church (KIM radio)

The construction of the Temple of Christ the Saviour in Pristina began on land owned by the SOC and according to the procedures in 1992, it was announced from the Diocese of Raska and Prizren.

Regarding articles published in certain Kosovo Albanian media that the church of Christ the Saviour was built illegally and should be removed, the statement said that the Diocese has detailed documentation showing that any claim of alleged illegal construction is completely unfounded.

Displaced in Brezovica reconnected to electricity (KIM Radio)

After six days spent without electricity displaced persons in former hotel ‘Junior’, which has been turned into a shelter, are reconnected to electricity supply, communicated Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija.  Communique further reads that collective centers in Brezovica won’t be charged with the higher industrial tariff for electricity consumption any more, as was the case so far.

Kostic: Decision on dismissal is wrong (KIM Radio)

The leader of the Civic Initiative ‘Srpska’ Vladeta Kostic said that decision on dismissal of Aleksandar Jablanovic is wrong.

“By doing so, the matrix has been set for any minister in the government, no matter is it Serb or Albanian, to be dismissed due to street protests. Thus, government is not showing the strength and responsibility. In my opinion, the decision is wrong and reaction should have been different,” said Kostic and added that the government had succumbed to pressure.

First time in 16 years one ‘voice of reason’ (KIM Radio)

“This is the first time in 16 years to hear the ‘voice of reason’ from Kosovo and Metohija. Baton Haxhiu publicly said that someone has to apologize for the stoning of Serbs from Đakovica, on the most important Serbian holiday,” said Đokica Stanojevic, President of the Association of the people from Đakovica/Gjakova, commenting Haxhiu’s statement.

Death notice for Jablanović on social networks (KIM Radio)

On the eve of new demonstrations organized by the Movement "Self-determination", on social networks is circulating a death notice for Aleksandar Jablanović. 

False death notice reads that Jablanović died accidentally on the street, and as mourners are listed Isa Mustafović and Hashim Tačović. The death notice reads: "Dear friends, we inform you that on 1. February 2015 died a DOG. He died accidentally on the street, and the funeral will be held in the Orthodox Church." 

Nojkić: Violent protests at the expense of Kosovo (KIM Radio)

The president of the Provincial Board of the Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO), Ranđel Nojkić, said that violent protests surprised analysts, foreign embassies and all those who monitor events in Kosovo. "The statement of Isa Mustafa who said that this would cause great damage to Kosovo was not naive, at all. On the other hand protest could be considered as an attempt to topple the government and all these developments now lead Kosovo in a specific situation," said Nojkić.
