Serbia's president and US diplomat Matthew Palmer "agreed, while disagreeing on Kosovo" that normalization of Belgrade-Pristina relations is of key importance.

A statement issued by the president's press service after the meeting in Belgrade on Thursday also said that Vucic and Palmer "believe that normalization of relations is of key importance not only for the EU accession process, but also for regional stability and future prosperity in the region."

The two-day Conference on International Security opened in Moscow on Wednesday, with participation of representatives from 95 countries.

Among the defense ministers and military officials is Serbia's Aleksandar Vulin.

Aleksandar Vucic says he is "looking forward to each encounter at the EU-Western Balkans summit in Sofia."

But, the president continued on Tuesday, he "doesn't expect particularly good news for our country."

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Burundi's foreign minister, Alain Aime Nyamitwe, in Belgrade on Tuesday, his office said in a statement.

Vucic on the occasion "expressed great gratitude for the country's decision to revoke its recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo."

Belgrade's commitment to sincere and constructive dialogue with Pristina, with EU's mediation, is not producing the expected results.

Serbian Foreign Minister and First Deputy PM Ivica Dacic said this on Tuesday, adding that authorities in Pristina, "with support of some foreign powers," have been prolonging the implementation of their obligations from the Brussels agreement.

Spokesman for the Bulgarian EU presidency Genoveva Chervenakova says to Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti that Bulgaria will fully respect the status neutrality of Kosovo at the EU-Western Balkans summit to be organized in May.

PM Ana Brnabic said on Monday she would support Serbs in Kosovo in forming the Community of Serb Municipalities (ZSO) if Pristina fails to do it.

"If Pristina doesn't want to respect its own obligations, of course - I will offer my full support to Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija to form the ZSO, and that will be during April," Brnabic told reporters.

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director, Marko Djuric said that “Albanian separatists attempted on Monday to brutally, with violence and terror take over the north of Kosovo,” B92 reported.

Djuric who addressed the public, first time since his arrest, said he is proud of the Serbian people, who defended him with Gandhi’s methods.

Terrorists dressed in special police uniforms of a non-existent state of Kosovo wanted to show they can occupy northern Kosovo, says Aleksandar Vucic.

They were doing this with the help of the EU rule of law mission in Kosovo, EULEX, he continued - "for every one ROSU (special Kosovo police) vehicle, there were two EULEX vehicles."

Kosovo media on Monday published footage showing the Kosovo police take Marko Djuric to a police station in Pristina.

Earlier in the day, Djuric, the director of the Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija, was arrested in northern Kosovska Mitrovica.

Members of special Kosovo police parked their armored cars near the police station, and then led Djuric, whose hands were held behind his back, out and into the station, while the cameras were rolling.
