Coordinator of the Association of Families of the Killed and Missing Persons, Milorad Trifunovic confirmed to KIM radio that the International Day of the Missing Persons will be held at Gracanica on August 30 at 11:00.

Trifunovic said that he did not know why the representatives of this association were not invited last week to a regular session of the Organizing Committee for marking the August 30th at the Kosovo government building, and where Serbs and Serbia were repeatedly called upon, reports portal Kossev.

As SNF press release said significant material damage was made and the incident caused unease among Trajkovic family. The incident took place at the time while the roundtable in cooperation with the state leadership was held in Belgrade.

No, it is not true that the president of the Football Federation of Kosovo banned a football game of humanitarian character in Gracanica between the same club and the Red Star from Belgrade, although he had given himself an important role in the past days.

First of all because it sounds more than crazy that any soccer functionary forbids an assembly, either in the Balkans or even in Kosovo. Especially because of the arguments he has for the ban.

Worsening relations between Serbia and Kosovo are affecting more and more sporting events, preventing matches that took place without problems in the past.

The OSCE Mission in Kosovo was concerned to learn that a humanitarian match between FC Red Star Belgrade and FC Gračanica has been disallowed by the Kosovo Football Federation, Serbian media reported today.

All efforts should be made for sporting events to take place, as well as for them to be free of politically charged, provocative or offensive slogans. The rules of UEFA and other associations are very clear in this regards and should be fully respected,” the OSCE Mission said.

Kossev portal reports that Mayor of Gracanica Srdjan Popovic sent an open letter to the embassies in Pristina, the OSCE and UEFA after the Football Federation of Kosovo had banned Red Star to play a friendly charity match in Gracanica on Wednesday.

In a letter to the ambassadors, Popovic said that he voiced his protest and deep dissatisfaction over, as he stated, discrimination and a clearly politically motivated FFK decision, reports Kossev.

Electricity to House of Culture in Gracanica was shut down today, despite electricity bills being paid, KIM Radio reported.

As the House of Culture in Gracanica announced this is the third time that the electricity is shut down in the last half a year, which prevents normal functioning of this cultural institution.

The building of the elementary school in Gracanica, Kralj Milutin (King Milutin), beside the pupils of that school, is a place and for pupils of two secondary schools as well as the pupils of elementary music school, reports KIM radio.

The director of this school, Vladimir Milkic, told KIM Radio that this situation lasts since 1999, and that often happens that certain classes take place in the dining room, the hallway and teachers' room.

He says that there are currently 714 pupils and that there are classes with 35 pupils.
