KFOR command in Pristina has announced that new US troops in Kosovo will replace soldiers whose mandate had expired.
A statement said that the upcoming deployment of US soldiers represents regular handover of duties between two contingents from the United States, which are being rotated, not an additional contribution by the United States, RTS reported.
Belgrade will address the UN because of a statement made by the former head of the OSCE verification mission in Kosovo.
This comes after reports that William Walker spoke about his work on a project of creating the Greater Albania.
Spokesman for the Secretary-General of the UN Stéphane Dujarric said that UN is following developments unfolding in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia with great concern and call for restraint and calm. The statement notes that violence directed at democratic institutions and elected representatives of the people is unacceptable.

Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo from the Serbian List Branimir Stojanović says that Aleksandar Jablanović does not present the unity of all the Serb representatives and that he does not have the support of the Serbian List.
Stojanović said this to Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), and added that nobody can be president of the Serbian List without the support of the Serbs, and announced an extraordinary meeting of the representatives of the list.
Votes from Kosovo arrived to Vranje and Raška this morning around 1.30, RTS reported.
As previously announced by the OSCE in Kosovo, there were no security conditions for the counting of votes at polling stations, so they have transported ballots to Vranje and Raška following the Instructions on the implementation of the presidential elections within that territory.
SNS leader and Serbian PM Aleksandar Vucic has declared his victory in the presidential elections held in Serbia on Sunday, April 2.
The Republic Electoral Commission (RIK) announced on Monday that based on 90.86 percent of electoral material, Vucic won 55.09 percent of the vote.
He is followed by Sasa Jankovic (16.26 percent), Luka Maksimovic (9.04), Vuk Jeremic (5.33), and Vojislav Seselj (4.47), RTS is reporting.
