Djuric: Blockade of dialogue leads toward frozen conflict (Sputnik, Jedinstvo)

Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo, Marko Djuric said that a blockade, of a positive social processes, goes in favour of those whose interest is to keep Kosovo as a long-term hostage in a frozen conflict, Sputnik reported today.

Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo, Marko Đurić had a meeting today in Belgrade with the representatives of the ten Serbian majority municipalities from Kosovo regarding the upcoming local elections in Kosovo and on “how significant it would be for the Srpska Lista to confirm and strengthen the political unity of Serbian people in those elections.”

Djuric: Set free arrested Serbian and Russian citizens (Radio Free Europe)

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo Director, Marko Djuric requested today immediate release of a group of Russian and Serbian citizens arrested near Podujevo.

Djuric said their release is intentionally postponed under the excuse that the court has too much work to do, to be able to deal with their case.

“I want to emphasise that a pregnant woman and an underage person are among arrested, which makes this unnecessary mistreatment of the Serbian and Russian citizens even more inhuman,” Djuric said.

Djuric: Serbia to do everything to prevent Pristina's Interpol bid (Tanjug, TV Pink, KIM Radio)

Serbia will do its utmost to prevent Kosovo's membership in Interpol, said the director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo, Marko Djuric.

"Kosovo and Metohija is now represented in Interpol through the organs of Serbia and through UNMIK. If there is a criminal who should be detained from the territory of Kosovo, that issue has already been resolved," Djuric told TV Pink.

He pointed out that "a desire to confirm sovereignty as an independent state" is behind Pristina's request for admission to that international organization.

Chair of Srpska Lista, Goran Rakic and Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo, Marko Djuric met today in Belgrade, Serbian media reported.

Tadic: Vucic should take over responsibility, Djuric, Vulin react (Fonet, RTS)

An idea of President Vucic to open “an internal dialogue” on Kosovo is “a bizarre act” stated to Fonet, former President of Serbia, Boris Tadic, pointing out that one cannot call for a dialogue on important topics such as identity and integrity of a state, without establishing a dialogue on all other topics.

Tadic also reminded that a mere word “dialogue” means showing respect for different opinions, assessing Vucic “is a wrong man to put Kosovo topic forward, since he has no critical attitude toward himself.

It is certainly good that President of Serbia talks about facing reality, but Vucic and his associates would have to do much more to convince people they are honest when they talk about some historic reconciliation with Kosovo and Albanians, stated Agron Bajrami, Editor-in-Chief of Koha Ditore to Danas daily.

According to Bajrami, there were many who spoke before Vucic that Serbia must face Kosovo reality, there are Serbs who say it would be the best for all, if Serbia recognizes the independence of Kosovo and try to build some new relations with the both, Kosovo and Serbia.

Djuric: Belgrade-Pristina agreement only if both sides are satisfied (BETA, RTK2)

Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo, Marko Djuric stated that the Belgrade-Pristina agreement is possible only if both sides are equally satisfied or dissatisfied with it.

Djuric stated this to Pink TV adding Belgrade wants an agreement with Pristina, but not in a way that would fulfil their national interests only, in particular “their dreams about independence.”

“Every agreement must take into consideration both the Serb and Albanian interests. We can agree if both sides are equaliy satisfied or dissatisfied,” Djuric said.

Staro Gracko: Murder anniversary of 14 Serb harvesters marked (KIM Radio)

The eighteenth anniversary of a murder of 14 Serb harvesters was marked in the village of Staro Gracko, Lipjan/Lipljan municipality, KIM radio and other Serbian media reported. The perpetrators of this crime still remain unknown, while the investigation is closed.

Since the investigation into the case is closed, members of the families expect the case will be taken over by the Special Court for War Crimes.

“We hope that the Special Court would initiate an investigation, bring perpetrators to justice, so the victims can rest in peace,” stated one of the family members.

Djuric: Srpska Lista should not hurry regarding forming government (Tanjug, Blic)

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo Director, Marko Djuric stated Srpska Lista should not hurry and should leave it to the Albanian parties, if they can, to agree about the formation of the future government in Pristina.

“My advice to the Serbian political representatives is to take it slowly. Do not hurry, do not rush, leave it to Albanians to agree among themselves, and then slowly we will see through discussion with Srpska Lista to define what is our interest in this story and is there any, stated Djuric to the Serbian media while visiting Banjska, north of Kosovo, yesterday.
