Apostolova: Support for communities, condition for EU integration (RTK)

Head of the EU Office in Kosovo and Special Representative, Nataliya Apostolova, said that support for communities is a precondition for European integration. In her remarks at a conference on the inclusion of Roma, Ashkali and Egyptian communities into the Kosovo society, Apostolova said that while integration of communities contributes to European integration, the reality on the ground is “bitter” as these communities experience discrimination and poverty.

Head of the  EU Office to Kosovo Naliya Apostolova, said Kosovo should consider  review of the Justice Sector a priority, to proceed further with the agenda of European reforms, amendment of the criminal code, code for criminal procedure. Law on prevention of conflict of interest as well as concept document for suspension of senior officials who are indicted.

Apostolova said that it is time to do something on this direction and that she considers endorsement of this concept document to be special.
