Simic: We have to consult Belgrade before endorsing new government (Kosovapress)

Serbian List MP, Igor Simic, said today that the Serbian List will vote in favour of PAN-AKR’s candidate for Assembly speaker but that with regards to the voting of the Kosovo government, it will need to first consult authorities in Belgrade. “We will decide after consultations with the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic and director of office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric,” Simic said.

The Serbian list will support the formation of parliamentary bodies (TV Most)

The Serbian List MP Igor Simić told TV Most today that the Serbian List will support the formation of parliamentary bodies. And with regard to further political moves and possible forming of the Government, the decision will be made after consultations with President Vučić and Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Đurić.

After Tatjana Ivaz and Dalibor Antić withdrew the candidacy for councillors in front of CI SDP Oliver Ivanović, Tomislav Dejanović from the CI "For Our Zvečan" led by Dragiša Milović also asked withdrawel of his candidacy in the upcoming local elections on October 22.

He, like the previous two candidates, publicly supported the Serbian List.

Pristina's media has been reporting since this morning that the Serbian list lost enthusiasm after Pacolli's party entered the PAN coalition, and that the Serbs will not support the election of Ramush Haradinaj as prime minister, reports KIM radio today.

Igor Simić, however, did not want to comment these allegations, saying that it was good that things began to move towards institution-forming, emphasizing that the Serbian List is open for talks.

Petrović: SLS ready for the position of deputy Assembly speaker (RTK2)

Slobodan Petrović, the Independent Liberal Party (SLS) leader, said today that the party expressed readiness for the position of deputy chairman of the Assembly of Kosovo.

There is no ambiguity regarding the possibility, the Kosovo Constitution allows the Serbian community to have a guaranteed vice-speaker position - said Petrović, who is also the only deputy of the SLS in parliament.

It is increasingly certain that Kosovo will finally get a government and the Serbian list undoubtedly will be a part of it. The List will support the election of the Speaker of the Parliament Kadri Veseli from the big war coalition PAN and thus the new government, today’s edition of daily Blic learns. Blic reports that in exchange for support, the Serbian List will receive a deputy prime minister and three ministerial posts.

President of the Serbian List Goran Rakić says that they are not afraid of possible new parliamentary elections in Kosovo, but that he will not speculate whether there will be the new ones.

- I would not speculate. We said that we are ready to participate, Rakić said in response to the question of whether the new parliamentary elections in Kosovo are possible.

Hoxhaj: I hope Serbian List will join PAN in forming new government (Zeri)

Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) deputy leader, Enver Hoxhaj, said PAN coalition will have enough votes to form the new government and that he hoped the Serbian List would join it.  “We will have sufficient number to elect Assembly Speaker and our preferred choice is Kadri Veseli”, Hoxhaj said. “We are the parliamentary majority and we have the right to propose the speaker of the Assembly and the nominee to form the government”, he added.
