Second “One in Five Million” protest took place in Mitrovica on Saturday and ended without major incidents, KoSSev portal reports.

The main request of participants in the protest was to shed the light on the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, but they also voiced stances against unification of Mitrovica, Pristina’s tariffs as well as a request to release Zoran Djokic, arrested at Jarinje crossing point, almost a month ago.

Protest participants were verbally insulted by group of young men who uttered various insults.

Protest “One in Five Million” was held on Friday in Gracanica, gathering around 15 people, BETA news agency reported.

Gracanica resident Tamara Zelenovic addressed journalists saying she did not come to the protest to bring down Serbia, but local authorities, KoSSev portal reported.

Organizer of the protest, Branislav Markovic said the protest “represents a rebellion against one party privatization of the state and its institutions, against censorship of the free mind, for the freedom of speech, electoral right and freedom of movement.”

Simic: More radical measures by international community needed (Tanjug, TV Pink)

Srpska Lista Deputy Chair Igor Simic told TV Pink, Pristina’s refusal to revoke tariffs despite various requests from the world, indicates that “what the West has created (Kosovo) got out of their control” and the international community must resort to more radical measures if it wishes dialogue to continue and to reach a compromise solution.

The statute on the mining complex Trepca, that was adopted by the Kosovo Assembly on Saturday, will remain “a dead letter on paper”, with jurisdiction up to the Ibar River, Chairperson of Srpska Lista, Goran Rakic said, Radio kontakt plus reports.

"As much as the Albanian leaders are trying to endanger the survival of the Serbian people by politics of a final act, and after introduction of tariffs, they also adopted decisions by which they want to take away Trepca from the Serbian people, however Serbs and Serbia will not allow this", Rakic said in a statement.

Over the last two decades a mechanism “as Americans say” was ruling in Pristina, however, it disappeared in the last two months, Nenad Rikalo told RTS.

He added, an environment “who would deceive whom” prevails in Pristina, with Haradinaj wining major popularity with the move on tariffs, while Thaci’s PDK leads politics to the certain extent harmonized with that of the USA.

Rikalo also underlined that the Serbs would fight with all political means at disposal to defend the interests of Brezovica, Trepca, Gazivode and the Serbs in enclaves.

Djuric, Srpska Lista react on protest walk in Mitrovica North (B92, KoSSev, BETA)

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director Marko Djuric said yesterday in a news conference that protest walk in Mitrovica North “One of Five Million” is a failure in a political sense, BETA news agency reported.

“In a political sense that gathering has failed. If you have less than 60 persons and they are hired activities, plus bringing people from Kraljevo (…) I would not enter the story on the flows of the money. I have the impression there were people who had to come, what they can do, they have nothing to live on,” Djuric told journalists.

Srpska Lista: Serbian unity in Kosovo and Metohija will not be broken (Tanjug, RTS)

Reacting on announced protest walk “One in Five Million” in Mitrovica North, on Saturday, municipal board of Srpska Lista said in a statement Serbian unity in Kosovo and Metohija will never be broken, regardless how much money would be paid by those who want the Serbs to vanish from Kosovo, RTS reports.

Srpska Lista noted “the protest would not gather more than twenty people, unless its sponsors bring more people from other parts of Serbia,” adding “they are maybe ready to stage incidents, in order to cover up a failed protest.”

“Lawyer Jokanovic to defend Radoicic” (KoSSev, RTV KIM)

Long-term Pristina lawyer Zivojin Jokanovic said for RTV KIM show “Dogovor” he would be a defense lawyer of Milan Radoicic if Kosovo bodies bring him in and initiate a court proceeding related to the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, KoSSev portal reports.

“I am the future defense lawyer of Milan Radoicic, if he is brought before the justice,” Jokanovic said, adding he has a note of authorization.

Asked whether Radoicic requested that from him personally, Jokanovic responded it has been agreed already.
