Drecun: Huge gap between Serbs and Albanians (Tanjug, B92, TV Pink)

Chairperson of the Serbian Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun told Serbian media there is a huge gap between Serbs and Albanians and people alike Ramush Haradinaj cannot build a reconciliation.

He added, Haradinaj’s remarks on reconciliation are “cynical” and the biggest contribution (to the reconciliation) would be if he would be held responsible before the judiciary for committed crimes.

FM: Serbia to contract lobbyists as soon as possible (Blic, BETA, FoNet, TV N1)

Serbia’s Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said on Thursday that Belgrade should employ lobbyists to defend the country’s interests in solving the Kosovo issue.

He has told the Blic daily 173 countries have already signed lobbyist contracts with the American agencies and it is clear that, in the modern time, states function in that way.

“The aim should be to get access to the decision-making people, i.e., to the US President Donald Trump, to secure their support for a permanent solution to the issue of Kosovo,” Dacic said.

Vecernje Novosti: Albanian plan to cut off north (Serbian media)

Belgrade-based daily Vecernje Novosti reported today it has learned that Pristina authorities with the help of NATO allies plan intrusion to the crossing points Jarinje and Brnjak, aiming to confirm “sovereignty” and cause a psychological impact on Serbs. The daily continued that Albanians ordered 12.000 German rocket launchers called “Armbrust.”

No western plan for Kosovo, US ambassador Scott says (Blic, FoNet, TV N1)

There is no Western plan for Kosovo, no coordinated proposal by the members of the Quint and no 11-point plan, US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott told Belgrade-based daily Blic today.

According to Blic, claims have appeared in the public about the countries of the so-called Quint – the US, Great Britain, Germany, France and Italy – adopted a developed plan to pressure and blackmail Serbia in order to achieve full independence for Kosovo and separate Serbia from Russia.

Some US plan for Kosovo exists after all? (B92)

There has been an increasing number of allegations in the media recently that Serbia had been presented with a plan for Kosovo, either verbally or in writing.

Each of them, although in different ways, suggests that Serbia on the road to membership in the European Union should agree to recognize Kosovo, or at least accept that Kosovo be given a chair in the United Nations.

West gives Vucic plan for Kosovo - "and if he refuses..." (Blic, Tanjug, B92)

The United States and Western countries have submitted a plan to solve the Kosovo problem to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, writes daily Blic.

The paper says that the plan is "better for Serbia than all of the previous ones, but still unacceptable to Vucic."

"The United States and Western countries have submitted their principles, but for us it is insufficiently good," an unnamed source "familiar with the details of the proposal" has been quoted as saying.

Russia and China have once again opposed initiatives coming from some UN Security Council members to change the format of the UN mission in Kosovo, UNMIK.

They hold the same position when it comes to attempts to change the format of the Council's sessions dedicated to Kosovo. In this way, they supported Serbia's stance on the issue.

Meeting dialogue held on Belgrade-Pristina in US – reports (Tanjug, B92)

Representatives of the US, the UK, France, Italy and Germany are in Washington for talks on the the final stage of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

Pristina-based Albanian language daily Gazeta Express said it has learned this.

A source told the newspaper that representatives of the five most powerful Western countries have gathered in Washington to hold consultations on the talks between Belgrade and Pristina.

Analysts on Vucic’s visit to Moscow (TV N1)

Foreign policy commentator Bosko Jaksic and Chair of the Centre for Strategic Alternatives Aleksandar Mitic told TV N1 that Russia is in favour of maintaining “status quo” in Kosovo.

Both interlocutors agreed Kosovo would be a dominant topic in Vucic-Putin meeting in Moscow, but they disagreed when it comes to Serbia’s position related to Kosovo, TV N1 reported.

Drecun: Management Team for ZSO Statute contrary to agreement (TV N1, Danas)

Chairperson of the Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun told TV N1, Serbs in Kosovo did not give up on ZSO, but decided to wait since Pristina made a political manoeuvre.

Management Team for ZSO Statute Pristina is establishing is not in accordance with Brussels agreement, Drecun said, therefore the ZSO Statute would be in contradiction to that agreement as well.
