Simic: Kosovo Serbs OK with division if they get more rights (RTS, N1, KIM radio, Kontakt plus radio)

Serbs in Kosovo agree with the idea of a division of Kosovo only if the arrangement would guarantee them more freedom and more rights than they had so far, said the Vice-President of Kosovo’s Serb List, Igor Simic.

He added that the Serb List, a political group of Serbs in Kosovo, trusts Belgrade’s negotiation team unequivocally.

Simic told Serbia’s public broadcaster, RTS, that Serbs in Kosovo live in suspense for decades already.

Simic: International community silence causes uneasiness among Serbs (TV Prva)

The Serbian List MP Igor Simic says that the international community silence regarding the arrest of five Serbs in Gnjilane is causing uneasiness among the Serbs in Kosovo.

“The international community’s silence on such a brutal force is something that is causing uneasiness among the Serbs in Kosovo. It simply mustn’t happen, especially when we are in the negotiation phase,'' Simic told TV Prva, based in Belgrade.

The spokesperson of the Serbian List Igor Simic told Kontakt plus radio that the current security situation in Kosovo is worrying. He welcomed the continuation of the dialogue in Brussels but assess as the failure of non-acceptance of the document by the Government of Kosovo because it was written in the Cyrillic alphabet. He says this was another indicator of the attitude of Kosovo institutions towards Serb representatives.

"There was no discussion about renewal of our activities in the government, nor did anything change from the moment we left the ruling coalition," Simic was categorical.
