Minister Nenad Popovic: Putin will bring a message that will encourage Serbs in KiM (Tanjug)

Russian President Vladimir Putin will certainly bring a message that will encourage all Serbs in Kosovo, Minister of Innovation and Technological Development Nenad Popovic told state news agency Tanjug.

He says Putin will certainly say that Kosovo, for Russia is an inseparable part of Serbia and will continue to support UN Security Council Resolution 1244.

The Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of UNMIK, Mr. Zahir Tanin, condemns the incident in Istog/Istok municipality which took place yesterday when two buses transporting Serb pilgrims were stoned.

“Such acts are unacceptable and competent authorities should investigate the case and bring perpetrators to justice,” SRSG Tanin stresses.

He reminds all of the fundamental rights to freedom of movement and freedom of religion.

Serb families in the village Grace afraid of the Kosovo police (RTS)

RTS reports that a few days ago Kosovo Police searched the house of the Popovic family in Grace village. The police searched for weapons. According to RTS correspondant from Gracanica, weapons were not found but the owner of the house was arrested, and reportedly criminal charges were failed against him.

The police public report reads that a suspected Serb in Grace village was arrested and that an air rifle was seized and a rubber bat. Two criminal charges were filed against the arrested person, reports RTS.
