Srpska Lista: Serbian unity in Kosovo and Metohija will not be broken (Tanjug, RTS)

Reacting on announced protest walk “One in Five Million” in Mitrovica North, on Saturday, municipal board of Srpska Lista said in a statement Serbian unity in Kosovo and Metohija will never be broken, regardless how much money would be paid by those who want the Serbs to vanish from Kosovo, RTS reports.

Srpska Lista noted “the protest would not gather more than twenty people, unless its sponsors bring more people from other parts of Serbia,” adding “they are maybe ready to stage incidents, in order to cover up a failed protest.”

After announcing on Twitter that the first "One in Five Million“ protest walk would be held on Saturday in Mitrovica North, the municipal assembly councillor from Civic Initiative, Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP) Marko Jaksic received a threat, KoSSev portal reports.

A protest walk “One in Five Million” is announced to take place on Saturday, 2 February in Mitrovica North. According to the organizers it aims to show that inhabitants of this town, but also from other areas in Kosovo solidarize with the people protesting in major cities across Serbia for weeks and their requests, Radio KIM reports.

The gathering place is at Tzar Lazar Monument in the center of Mitrovica North, while the walk would end on the spot of Oliver Ivanovic murder, where the citizens would light candles.

The annual memorial service for Oliver Ivanovic will be held at the New Cemetery in Belgrade on January 12th, starting at 11:00 am, the Civic Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP) announced, KoSSev portal reports.

Furthermore, the members of the party, family, friends, and supporters would gather, as they have been doing every month since his assassination, in front of GI SDP premises in Mitrovica North, on 16 January 2019, at 10:00.

Civic Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP) said yesterday, on the occasion of eight months anniversary of Oliver Ivanovic’s murder, they would not allow his murder to be forgotten, Radio kontakt plus reported.

SDP noted that eight months after the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, there are no official information about the investigation and the equipment taken by the Kosovo police investigative unit have not been returned.

Deputy Leader of Civic Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP), Ksenija Bozovic said that the division of Kosovo is unacceptable, Serbian media reported

“Division of Kosovo is not acceptable solution for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija. This was the stance of our late leader Oliver Ivanovic, and GI SDP as a political option in Kosovo would not give up on following his idea,” Bozovic told weekly magazine NIN.

Six months since the murder of Oliver Ivanovic, his colleagues, family members and true friends still have no information from the investigation related to his murder, Civic Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP) said in a press statement.

“Allegedly everybody is working on something, prosecution in Belgrade and prosecution in Pristina. They claim a number of witnesses was interviewed, but, yet we remain unfamiliar about any detail,” press statement further said.

GI SDP: Bozovic met with Soltes (Radio kontakt plus)

Civic Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice, (GI SDO) deputy leader Ksenija Bozovic met with the European Parliament Rapporteur for Kosovo, Igor Soltes, and one of the topics discussed was Oliver Ivanovic murder investigation, Kontakt plus radio reported.

Bozovic said the meeting was short but constructive and her assessment is that Soltes is very well informed about political developments in Kosovo and all the issues Serbs are facing.
