UNMIK chief Zahir Tanin met in Belgrade on Monday with Serbia’s Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic who told him that the UN mission has to remain in Kosovo to secure the conditions for the Serbs to live normal lives.

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said that UNMIK remains in Kosovo, that KFOR is the only armed force under the UNSC resolution and no other acts can be brought. He said and that Serbia will bring this attempt (to form the Kosovo army) to the Security Council session on 8th November.

Asked by the journalists whether he expects the Kosovo Army to be formed, Dacic said he hoped Pristina would be pressured to give up.

The United States, which will take over the presidency of the Security Council, will not include in the agenda in September a report by UN Secretary-General António Guterres on the situation in Kosovo, writes Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti.

Guterres's regular report refers to the period from April 16 to July 15, 2018, and it was due to be debated in August, but the UK "took it off the table", the daily reported.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova says Moscow does not support "delimitation" as the solution to the Kosovo problem.

The idea was floated earlier by Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, while President Aleksandar Vucic on Thursday revealed this was "his policy" on the issue.

Asked about the position of Russia in terms of demarcation, Zaharova responded by asking: "You will not have a problem with that?"

Dacic believes that still a final solution is far and a call on a referendum in Serbia, and that solutions must be sought, reports Vecernje Novosti.

After a meeting in Brussels of the Serbian and Pristina delegations with Federica Mogherini, they all agree that there are possibilities regarding the final solution regarding Kosovo, Dacic says, adding that it was also noted that both sides should make additional efforts to reach solutions, reports the daily.

Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ivica Dacic commented on the latest platform from Pristina to say he expects the European Union to "declare itself."

In the platform on what they called "the final phase of the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue" Pristina authorities state that the dialogue's goal is Kosovo's membership in the UN and "mutual recognition."

The Serbian foreign minister Ivica Dacic on Wednesday addressed a ministerial conference of the Movement (NAM) in Baku, Azerbaijan, calling on all countries to "continue to oppose the unilateral attempts of so-called Kosovo at affirming its aspirations to membership of international organizations."

Serbia is "aware of how delicate it is today for those siding with it in its legitimate fight to preserve its territorial integrity and defend the principles of the United Nations Charter," Dacic continued.

Russia is ready to provide Serbian partners with support in defending legitimate national interests in relation to Kosovo, primarily in international structures, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in a letter to Serbian counterpart Ivica Dacic, reports Belgrade based daily Vecernje Novosti.

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic says it is "absolutely counterproductive that some foreign ministers are sending arrogant messages to Belgrade."

Dacic, who is taking part in an informal meeting of EU and candidate countries' foreign ministers in Sofia, Bulgaria, noted on Friday that when it comes to bilateral disputes, EU's stance is "not to import instability, and to find solutions before accession."

The Serbian official, however, observed that this is a rule has not been respected so far.

Serbia's first deputy PM and foreign minister Ivica Dacic says German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel is the one who should accept reality - rather than Serbia, as Gabriel previously suggested, reports Serbian media.

Dacic spoke late on Thursday adding that the reality is that the current German government is on its way out.
