Office for KiM strongly condemns burglary of Staro Gracko healthcare facility (Radio KIM)

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija in the strongest terms condemned the fourth burglary of a healthcare facility located in the village of Staro Gracko, Radio KIM reports.

The Office said in a statement that “Serbia would repair consequences of this and every other similar attack”.

Kosovo police arrested, then released Jedinstvo journalist (RTS, KoSSev)

Yesterday around 15:00, Kosovo police has arrested Serbian-monthly newspaper Jedinstvo journalist Sonja Ivkovic from Novo Brdo, Serbian media report. After several hours she was released, while her vehicle was kept, RTS said.

Jedinstvo Editorial Board said in a statement that Sonja Ivkovic was arrested on the Prekovce-Novo Brdo way, while carrying out the latest Jedinstvo edition to the Serbs living in the surrounding villages.

During the weekend in the villages of Bitinja, Popovce, Brezovica and Rakanovac “KLA” graffiti and inscriptions “Kosovo-Albania” were written, RTS reports. The case was reported to the Kosovo police that is looking for the perpetrators.

The inscription of graffiti has caused disturbance among the Serbs living in the area, where they make the majority and noted there were no inter-ethnic incidents happening before.

Belgrade is finding the ways to supply the Serbs in the north of Kosovo despite pressures and increased police controls, Head of the Government’s Kosovo and Metohija Office Marko Djuric told Serbian media.

Speaking for the Politika daily, Djuric said it was so important that the Serbs showed solidarity and readiness to fight for their fundamental human rights in a peaceful way. “Without that, our efforts would be in vain,” he added.

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija reacted to the arrest of two Serbs, Kosovo police accused of “espionage,” by saying that “campaign of intimidation of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija by arresting Serbs and holders of important public functions continues,” KoSSev portal reported.

The Serbian government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija chief Marko Djuric on Thursday called KFOR and the international community to react to the possible storage of hazardous chemical waste in the Serb village of Gorazdevac.

A statement said that plans have been made to transport and destroy 80 barrels of hazardous chemical waste in that Serb village in the Metohija region near the town of Pec.

In the village of Gojbulja, municipality of Vucitrn, church of St. Paraskeva was broken into, the Diocese of Raska-Prizren announced yesterday on its website.

The Diocese stated that the believers at around 16.00 yesterday noticed that the door to the church was broken. The incident was reported to the police, and the investigation was conducted. The money was taken from the icon in the value of about 20 euros that the believers left for Đurđevdan when liturgy was served in this church.
