Serbian Post Office robbed in Gorazdevac (KoSSev, Radio Gorazdevac)

The Serbian Post Office was robbed last night in the village of Gorazdevac, Pec municipality and smaller amount of money was stolen, Radio Gorazdevac reports.

The worker who came to open the post office this morning noticed the burglary. He reported the case to the police that came on the spot and started an investigation.

The intruders broke the main entry door, secured by metal bars. According to Radio Gorazdevac findings, the safe deposit box was taken away, however, it contained smaller amount of money.

Kosovo Serb charged with war crimes after spending months in jail (N1, KoSSev)

A Kosovo Serb who has spent several months in jail has been charged with war crimes committed in 1999 in the town of Pec, the KoSSev news portal reported on Tuesday.

The Special Prosecution indicted Zoran Djokic of Pec for war crimes against the civilian population in March and April of 1999, a prosecution press release said.

Basic Court in Pec has decided to extend detention of Zoran Djokic (48) displaced person from this town for two more months, under allegations that he has committed a war crime against the civilian population during the conflict in Kosovo in 1999, Radio kontakt plus reports.

Djokic’s lawyer Ljubomir Pantovic told Radio kontakt plus that the acts of the court and prosecution in relation to his client are utterly unlawful and go to the detriment of Zoran Djokic.

Court in Pec acquitted returnee Milorad Zajic from Klina (Tanjug, Vecernje Novosti)

The Basic Court in Pec has acquitted the Klina returnee Milorad Zajic, who was accused of committing a war crime against the civilian population in the village of Dusevic during the conflict in Kosovo.

The court found prosecution did not substantiate the indictment and also revoked the measure of house arrest in which Zajic spent almost a year. Zajic’s lawyer Dejan Vasic told this to Tanjug. He also noted this is a first-degree decision, and the prosecution has the right to appeal.

The main trial in the criminal proceedings against Milorad Zajic, a returnee from Klina, started yesterday before the presiding judge of the criminal court of the Basic Court in Pec, Kreshnik Radoniqi, confirmed lawyer of the accused, Dejan A. Vasic for the radio.

Vasic noted that this case had already been investigated by EULEX prosecutors, and that the investigation was ended due to lack of evidence.

First cooperation between Serbian and Kosovo municipality: Mayors of Sabac and Pec in Gorazdevac (KoSSev, Radio Gorazdevac)

UNS and DNKiM: Mistreatment of journalists in Kosovo and Metohija continues (KoSSev portal)

Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) and Association of Journalists of Kosovo and Metohija (DNKiM) in the strongest terms condemned “continuation of mistreatment of journalists and media professionals in Kosovo and Metohija by the Kosovo police,” KoSSev portal reported.

The reaction came after the police in Pec arrested, interrogated and after almost 5 hours released 3 RTS crew members and 5 lawyers from the Free Legal Aid Office.
