Makolli: AKR is not in discussions with PAN (Zeri)

Vesel Makolli, general secretary of the New Kosovo Alliance (AKR), told the paper that his party supports eventual agreement between the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and the Vetevendosje movement. “We are not in discussions with PAN. We are in discussions with our coalition. We had a meeting between Isa Mustafa and Albin Kurti and we in AKR support continuance of these discussions. Things between LDK and Vetevendosje have moved a bit in a positive way. It is expected to reach something; it appears that after this meeting they have overcome recent grudges.

Vetevendosje will not participate at consultative meeting (RTK)

Vetevendosje movement MP, Driton Caushi, said after the interruption of the constitutive session of the Assembly of Kosovo that his party will not attend the consultative meeting with PAN coalition, called by the chairman of the session, Adem Mikullovci.

He however stressed that they would consider Avdullah Hoti’s request for a roundtable where the possibilities to address the Constitutional Court would be considered.

Head of the LAA parliamentary group, Avdullah Hoti, and the representatives of PAN coalition confirmed participation at the consultative meeting.

Konjufca: We do not support Veseli for Assembly Speaker (Kosovapress)

Vetevendosje’s Glauk Konjufca said during today’s constitutive session of the Assembly that PAN is intentionally boycotting the sessions because it does not have enough votes to elect speaker. “They don’t have the numbers. They don’t want to be in the opposition. We are tired of hearing them say they’re election winners and have the votes. If these are true then why is PAN not in the Assembly”, Konjufca said.

Konjufca: PAN trying to buy time (Kallxo/Telegrafi)

Vetevendosje’s Glauk Konjufca said in a press conference following the consultative meeting of heads of parliamentary groups which he did not attend that PAN coalition was only trying to buy time by asking for additional meetings and not attending Assembly’s constitutive session. “They are trying to buy time to close the deals they have started because they do not have the votes”, Konjufca said.  “Time of political meetings is gone.

Konjufca: Vetevendosje not to attend Wednesday meeting (Koha)

Vetevendosje’s Glauk Konjufca told the media that they would not take part in the consultative meeting of parliamentary parties scheduled for Wednesday. He said the meeting has been called by the chairman of the Assembly session, Vetevendosje’s Adem Mikullovci, but that Vetevendosje considers this is just part of PAN’s delaying tactics. “They wish to impose absurd ideas”, Konjufca said of PAN coalition.

Konjufca: We do not want blockade, but name of Assembly President is important (Koha)

Vetvendosje MP, Glauk Konjufca said today that “the PAN coalition does not have the numbers to create the government or to vote the Assembly President, however he added, it can happen that some MP decides to join this coalition.

After his registration as Kosovo Assembly MP, Konjufca said “Vetevendosje is not for blockade of any process in an unreasonable manner, however the name proposed for the Assembly President is very important for us,” he said.

He reiterated Vetevendosje’s official decision that they would not vote Kadri Veseli for Assembly President.

Selimi: We are discussing program, not PM’s position with LDK (Lajmi)

Vetevendosje movement MP, Rexhep Selimi, said after his registration at Assembly administration that creation of the new institutions and process of registering MPs could have taken place much earlier. According to him, this was intentionally delayed by those who claim to have the numbers to create the government.

Selimi said that they are discussing program matters with the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), however he added that they have not discussed the position of the Prime Minister yet.

Ymeri accuses Thaci of acting as “king” of Kosovo (Koha)

In a press conference today, Vetevendosje leader Visar Ymeri accused President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci as acting as if he were “king” of Kosovo. Ymeri said there are rules which specify who should be given mandate to form the government. “Citizens have given their verdict and neither Thaci nor anyone else can stop Vetevendosje”, Ymeri said.
