Vetevendosje activists “fish” in front of EULEX offices (Koha)

A group of around twenty activists from Vetevendosje staged a symbolic action today in front of EULEX building in downtown Pristina. They showed up with fishing rods to ‘catch the big fish’ of corruption inside the mission. As baits, the activists attached copies of 500 euro bills which, they said, the mission’s prosecutors and judges are after.

Quint concerned by archaic and communist behavior of party leaders (Lajmi)

A diplomat from a Quint member state told Lajmi on the condition of anonymity that leaders of main parliamentary parties have brought Kosovo on the verge of a political, economic and financial collapse. He said the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Germany and Italy are analyzing the situation and are concerned with the hypocrisy of leaders who do not hesitate to tell the media that they have brought Kosovo to this situation in order to protect the interests of the people.

Vetevendosje Movement considers that the decision of the Constitutional Court was political and biased.

Member of Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) presidency, Agim Veliu, said there is no decision regarding breaking off the coalition with Vetevendosje. He said the party is engaged in moving forwards and not breaking alliances reached after elections. The other member of LDK presidency, Kujtim Shala, also denied the report that the coalition with Vetevendosje is on the brink of being terminated. “It is false”, said Shala adding that the party has not scheduled any meeting today to discuss the issue.

Kurti pursuing Thaci’s way (Zeri)

Enis Veliu stresses in today’s editorial of this paper  that Kosovo population gave votes to Albin Kurti and his party, believing in his vision promoted during the election campaign. “They voted for him trusting in his promises to change the manner of governing which has destroyed Kosovo. They did not vote for Kurti to fulfill the aims of a minor group of people, ignoring the votes of the poor population,” writes Veliu.

Osmani: Assembly session will be held tomorrow (Koha online)

After the meeting with the chairperson of the Assembly’s constitutive session, Flora Brovina, member of the leadership of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, said that she represented the 62 deputies who signed the request for the session to be held on Thursday and expressed their position regarding this session.

Coalition block and Vetevendosje are determined to continue with the constitutive session of the Assembly tomorrow, no matter if the Democratic Party participates or not. They will even hold a debate and draw conclusions through which they would offer a solution and inform all respective bodies, such as the Presidency and other bodies which recognize parliamentary majority.

Belgrade to initial no agreements with Pristina which would directly or indirectly mean the recognition of the independence of Kosovo and Metohija, nor such requests come from Brussels – it was said to Vecernje Novosti in the Government of Serbia.

This is the response of the Serbian officials to the statement of Self-Determination official Visar Imery, whose party is likely to be part of the new government in Pristina, that "dialogue with Belgrade will not be continued unless Serbia does not recognize Kosovo's independence."

According to him, there are many hidden reasons that keep these parties together just as there are many hidden reasons why Hashim Thaci insists to remain the Prime Minister of Kosovo. These reasons put all of them in front of a “dead or alive” situation.
