Dačić to meet Tanin and Schlumberger today (KIM radio)

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic will meet today, in separate meetings in Belgrade, the Head of the OSCE in Kosovo, Jean-Claude Schlumberger and UNMIK chief Zahir Tanin, said the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Dacic will meet first Schlumberger at 10 am, and then with Tanin at 11 am.

These meetings precede the meeting of the UN Security Council where will be submitted regular quarterly UNMIK report on the situation in Kosovo.

The chairperson of the Serbian List, Slavko Simić, paid a visit to Sutomore and Podgorica in Montenegro where he met representatives and activists of the Alliance of the Association of Displaced Persons in Montenegro about problems faced by displaced population in Montenegro.

13 years from murder of children in Goraždevac (KIM Radio)

A commemoration to murdered Ivan Jovović (19) and Pantelija Dakić (12), who were killed by unknown perpetrators on 13 August 2003, while bathing at Bistrica River, will be held tomorrow at the local church in the village Goraždevac, Peć municipality. Four other children were severely wounded too, however no one is held responsible for this crime until today. Following its deployment to Kosovo EULEX took over the case from UNMIK, hence the investigation was later closed due to the lack of evidence.

The head of the UN Mission in Kosovo visited the municipality of Klokot/Kllokot and Parteš/Partesh (KIM radio)

The head of the UN Mission in Kosovo, Zahir Tanin and his associates visited the municipalities of Klokot/Kllokot and Parteš/Partesh.

"My goal is to get more acquainted with the situation and the way people live, and with what kind of problems they face, so that we can help, me and my colleagues from the international community," said Tanin.

Mayor of Klokot/Kllokot, Srećko Spasić told Tannin about the problems of this local government.

Head of UNMIK visits Mitrovica North Municipality (Kontakt Plus Radio)

The Mayor of Mitrovica North, Goran Rakić, and the executive head of the municipal administration, Adrijana Hodžić, met with the head of UNMK Zahir Tanin and his team. The main goal of the visit of UNMIK’s head was introduction with the current situation in Mitrovica North Municipality.

The Security Council shall decide on the mandate of UNMIK (RTS, RTV, Politika, Blic, Kontakt plus)

The UN mission in Kosovo rejects the allegations of the Kosovo Foreign Minister Enver Hoxhaj, that UNMIK is not desirable in Kosovo and that its mandate was extended because of Russia, which opposes the change of resolution 1244 of the Security Council of the United Nations.

UNMIK spokesman Jan Malekzade told the TV channel Tribuna that no country alone can decide on the mandate of UNMIK and its activities and that it is the decision of the Security Council.

The OSCE mission by occupying a part of the estate of Miloš Živković from Leskovac threatens elemental property rights, states attorney of Mr Živković, Dobrica Lazić.

Miloš Živković from Leskovac, as he says, is the owner of the estate of 2 hectares in the industrial zone in Kosovo Polje/Fushë Kosovë, which, he says, is occupied since 2000. The largest part of the estate is occupied by the OSCE Mission in Kosovo.
