Belgrade based daily Blic writes today about a Russian, an excellent connoisseur of the issues of Southeast Europe, and especially of Kosovo, and an American, who is appreciated as a connoisseur of Russian affairs.

These two are new ambassadors to Belgrade - Russian and American - who will soon begin their service in Serbia. Both arrive from Moscow.

US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott warned on Monday that the status quo in the Balkans is not sustainable.

Daily Politika: Macron in Serbia right after Bastille day (Beta, N1)

Belgrade based daily Politika reports on Wednesday that French President Emmanuel Macron would visit Serbia on July 15-16, a day after the French national holiday.

The fact that Macron will pay a two-day visit shows a desire by official Paris to confirm and continue strengthening the good relations between France and Serbia, the pro-government daily said, adding that this includes trade which stands at around one billion Euros a year.

Russia appoints Balkans expert to replace ambassador in Serbia (N1, Sputnik, Interfax)

Senior Foreign Ministry official and Balkans expert Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko has been appointed the new Russian ambassador to Serbia, Russian media reported quoting a decree by President Vladimir Putin.

Russian news agencies said that “President Putin relieved Alexander Chepurin of his duties as Ambassador to Serbia and appointed Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko to the post”. The decree was published on a government web site.

Massive "Future of Serbia" rally held in Belgrade on Friday (BETA, Tanjug, B92)

A large rally was held on Friday afternoon in front of the Serbian National Assembly in Belgrade. The gathering was organized as part of President Aleksandar Vucic's "Future of Serbia" campaign.

A large stage was installed in front of the parliament building, along with three large LED displays. Nikole Pasica Square was closed for traffic, as well as parts of Decanska and Vlajkoviceva streets.

B92: ''Albanians returned eight buses transporting Serbs from the south of Kosovo to a rally in Belgrade'' (Tanjug)

Eight buses with Serbs from three Kosovo South municipalities, who were going to Belgrade for the "Future of Serbia" rally, were returned from the administrative crossing Konculj.

The president of the temporary authority of the municipality of Vitina, Srdjan Nikolic, said that refusing to allow these buses to pass was justified by the fact that the drivers did not have ''adequate administration for the buses owned by the Albanians''.

Gracanica: A dozen buses departed to Belgrade (KIM radio)

In Gracanica, in the early morning hours, many people gathered in front of the ETC market, which in an organized manner in buses departed to Belgrade, reports KIM radio.

A dozen of buses are transporting people to the rally ''Future for Serbia'', organised today in Belgrade by the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), reports KIM radio.
