The Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric, said today in a talk with UNMIK chief Farid Zarif in Kosovska Mitrovica that Belgrade’s key interest in Kosovo is stability. He added that Serbia, with the “reinforced power” it has gained from entering the provincial government and parliament of Kosovo, will continue to fight for the rights of its citizens.  Djuric said that he informed the UN chief in Kosovo that representatives of the Serbian people are actively participating in forming the new provincial administration and government.

Sign saying KLA Square placed in northern Kosovska Mitrovica (Tanjug,Blic)

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - A several concrete blocks with a sign saying KLA (Kosovo Liberation Army) Square have been placed in northern Kosovska Mitrovica, along the road leading to the multiethnic village of Suvi Do. According to a Tanjug correspondent from the spot, the sign saying KLA Square (Sheshi UCK in Albanian) and an Albanian flag were placed at an intersection leading to Suvi Do on Thursday evening. Another similar incident preceded this, as a large concrete block with a sign bearing the name of one of the KLA founders, Adem Jasari, was placed in another part of northern Kosovska Mitrov

A gas supply branch towards Kosovo and Croatia (Blic)

In talks between Serbian and Russian Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vucic and Dmitry Medvedev, held in Moscow, all questions about the "South Stream" were resolved. As Russian media reported, Serbia will have a status of "energy node" in the region. Serbia will have such status because pipes, which are distributing natural gas from the main pipe, will be directed towards Kosovo, Republika Srpska and Croatia.

A building permit is mandatory (Blic)

Head of the Administrative Office in Northern Mitrovica, Adriana Hodzic said that illegal construction in Brdjani, in the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, is unacceptable, and that all people who build, must have a regular building permit.  Hodzic stated that the Administrative Office held two meetings and that one was attended by representatives of the Serbian and Albanian communities from Brdjani. "We came to the conclusion, and both sides agreed that everyone should act according to the law and that it is unacceptable to continue the illegal construction.

The road in Brdjani unblocked (Blic)

The road in Brdjani in North Mitrovica was unblocked after an hour. Deputy President of the Municipal Assembly of Mitrovica North, Emir Azemi said that this morning the Albanians began to build in Brdjani. Soon, people who identified themselves as building inspectors appeared and requested them to stop the works, what caused revolt and blockade. On the spot were present members of the Kosovo police, after which arrived KFOR and EULEX members.  The blockade was finished without incidents.  

Office for KiM: Liaison officer refused entry to Kosovo (Blic)

Belgrade - Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric criticized the Kosovo authorities because they banned Liaison officer Dejan Pavicevic to enter Kosovo. Belgrade - Justice Minister Nikola Selaković said today that the Constitutional Court of Serbia (USS) should be declared incompetent to determine the constitutionality of the Brussels agreement between Belgrade and Pristina, because it is a political, not a legal act. - The Constitutional Court is not competent to assess the political act as it will take over the role of the Government of Serbia, determining and leading the policy - said Selaković at a public hearing on constitutionality of an agreement signed in Brussels in April 2013 on the proposal of the Democratic Party of Serbia.
