Hahn without answer on "territory exchange", but mentions new deadline (B92, RFE)

EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn did not directly reply to RFE's question regarding the idea of "delimitation" to solve the Kosovo issue.

B92 reported, quoting RFE, that he stressed that in order to resolve any bilateral conflict, any possible solution must contribute to the wider stability of the region and should  not be at the expense of others in the region.

Ambassador Scott visiting Pristina (B92, Tanjug)

US Ambassador to Serbia, Kyle Scott will hold a series of meetings in Pristina with Kosovo officials and other prominent individuals.

Answering to Tanjug's question regarding the topics of the upcoming talks Ambassador Scott will have in Pristina, the American embassy in Belgrade replied that he would meet with them in order to hear their opinions and learn more about the situation in the region.

REKOM: Determine the accuracy of information about the mass grave (B92, N1, KiM radio)

The Coalition for REKOM invited the competent authorities of Serbia to determine the accuracy of information about the existence of a mass grave in the village of Medevce, 30 meters from the road Leskovac - Pristina.

A site suspected of being a mass grave is one kilometre and a half from the administrative crossing of Mutivode, in the land-based security zone towards Kosovo and about 300 meters away from KFOR units.

SPC to hold a special meeting about Kosovo and Metohija? (B92, Tanjug)

Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) is actively considering a special meeting of the Holy Assembly of Bishops with Kosovo and Metohija as the main topic.

As Tanjug learns from the well-informed church circles, the special meeting is a possibility even though the Church's stance "on the issue remains clear and unchanged".
The Church's position, announced after the May meeting, is that Serbia must not lose Kosovo.

Meeting of heads of governments of the West Balkan (Serbian media)

Serbian media reported yesterday that Albania would be hosting an informal meeting of the heads of the Western Balkan governments, citing a statement of the Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama's cabinet.

The cabinet's statement reads that the topic of the meeting will be "regional economic integration", the development of a common vision for EU accession, implementation of the regional economic zone and other issues.

Vucic and Thaci to be nominated for Nobel Peace Prize? (B92, Danas, Beta)

There is "a great chance" Hashim Thaci, Aleksandar Vucic and Federica Mogerini will be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

This might happen if if the Kosovo issues has been resolved by the spring of 2019, writes the newspaper Danas.
According to the daily, which refers to international diplomatic circles, the first step towards a possible nomination of the Kosovo president is his biography entitled "New State, Modern Statesman," that is being promoted this year in the Western capitals.

Thaci welcomes Merkel's borders remark; Dacic: What borders? (B92, Beta, Tanjug)

Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has welcomed German Chancellor Angela Merkel saying she was "against any changes of borders in the Balkans."

"All there is to be done is for the majority of the European Union to convince its five members that haven't yet recognized Kosovo and Serbia, too, to recognize it within the existing borders. The sooner that is done, the better for the region," Thaci tweeted, Beta agency reported.
