Decreeing of Serb judges for the north fails (Klan Kosova/Koha)

The decreeing ceremony for Serb judges and prosecutors from the north of Kosovo set to take place today has failed, Klan Kosova reports. The judicial officials were supposed to take an arranged transport from Mitrovica to Pristina to attend the decreeing ceremony with President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, but failed to show up. The decreeing of Serb judges and prosecutors was scheduled to take place today to pave way for implementation of the justice agreement reached between Pristina and Belgrade in the framework of the dialogue for normalisation of relations.

Kosovo Police attacked in the north (Koha)

A Kosovo Police patrol has come under fire last night in the north of Kosovo, Koha reports quoting Serbian-language media outlet, KoSSEV. The incident is reported to have taken place at around 10 p.m. in the village of Banje, Zubin Potok municipality. The Kosovo Police vehicle was damaged in the attack but no one was injured. Koha recalls that a Kosovo Police vehicle came under fire in the same village back in 2014 when three police officers from the Serb community were wounded.

Judge of the Basic Court in North Mitrovica Jelena Krivokapić participated in a conference that is part of the project “Consequences of postponing the integration of the judiciary - the situation and perspectives” that was held in the Civic Energy Centre in North Mitrovica on Tuesday.

After the decision of the Serbian Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vucic, to annul the visit to Kosovo, the Director of the Office for Kosovo at the Serbian government, Marko Djuric will be arriving. Sources of the portal from Mitrovica North, said that the gathering in Leposavic will be held, despite the objections of Albanian citizens, who blocked the roads to object arrival of Serbian politicians in Kosovo.

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Đurić says that investment in education is an investment in the future and survival of the Serbian people in Kosovo.

Đurić said that during his visit to the Agricultural School in Lešak (which was relocated from Pristina), and whose construction was financed by the Government of Serbia.

Northern Kosovo is the latest place where people are making satirical YouTube videos about US President Donald Trump’s slogan “America first”.

“America first, but North Kosovo ahead of Kosovo,” is the slogan of a new satirical video made in the northern, Serb-run part of Kosovo - playing on US President Donald Trump's election slogan of "America First".

“We have two governments, both claim the right to possess us, yet no one really cares about us,” the video, meaning Serbia and Kosovo.

The names of the streets in the Albanian language appeared in Suvi Do/Suhodoll (TV Most, KIM radio)

President of the local community in Suvi Do/Suhodoll Mićo Kragović says that the Albanians have set up the street signs late the night before.

He adds that the Serbs from this village are outraged and very upset by this move of neighbours and perceive this as pressure and the first step towards the ethnic cleansing of Serbs from this village, which, as he points out, for years are struggling to survive despite many pressures.
