The second round of the high level discussions between Kosovo and Serbia will be held on Wednesday.

On Jan. 28, High Representative of the European Union (EU) for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini invited the Serbian and Kosovo prime ministers to attend a new round of talks in Brussels, on Feb. 1. The meeting to be attended by Prime Ministers Aleksandar Vucic and Isa Mustafa is the follow-up to a Jan. 24 meeting in Brussels, attended by Vucic and Mustafa, as well as the Serbian and Kosovo presidents, resulting in an agreement to lower tensions.

Brussels - High Representative the European Union Federica Mogherini expressed "regret that all sides in the dialogue" did not respect the last night's agreement in Brussels.

As noted, the deal was to overcome the tension and not to comment in public about discussion in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina.

The President of the Assembly of Kosovo Kadri Veseli, told the Austrian prestigious newspaper “Die Presse” that what is happening in northern Kosovo reminds him on the operations at Crimea peninsula, prior to being annexed by Russia.

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday that he has "lost his trust in Pristina" and that for this reason, the dialogue in Brussels will be "difficult."

Speaking during a news conference with the chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Vucic added that he "above all" expects EU's "clear messages":

Political analyst Dušan Janjić believes that during the dialogue, scheduled at the highest level in Brussels for tomorrow, both sides should clarify their attitudes about whether the dialogue will continue to be challenged or will be continued.

Janjić told Beta that there is no information on an agenda for the meeting, suggesting that the next round will be different from all previous.

The Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić ironically congratulated the media from Kosovo who reported that he allegedly signed the dismissal of Marko Đurić.

Asked by reporters B92 in Davos on whether it is true that the head of the Office for KiM will be replaced, the prime minister did not give a negative or a positive answer, but said:

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic on Thursday spoke with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the phone, and met with NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg in Davos. B92's Filip Cukanovic said these conversations regarded the situation in Kosovo and relations in the region, as well as "ways to solve the problems that have piled up."

Vucic today announced "a meeting with the Albanian side with the mediation of Brussels (EU) as early as next week."
