Mustafa: We must ratify the border demarcation agreement (Kosovapress)

Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, said today that the fight against corruption and ratification of the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro, are two conditions that Kosovo needs to meet in order to get visa liberalization. “I want to thank the Assembly because we have stepped up certain processes to meet the criteria. The European Commission made a historic decision. There are two more conditions that we need to meet. We must ratify the border agreement with Montenegro.

Thaci: Dialogue with Serbia should lead to mutual recognition (Lajmi.net)

The President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, participated today at “Fol hapur” (Speak Openly) forum organized by “FOL”movement.

He stated that dialogue with Serbia in Brussels should take another direction in order not to become a routine. “Kosovo has correct relations with Serbia and dialogue in Brussels should not become routine and these discussions should take another course and conclude with reciprocal recognition,” Thaci said.

He said that they are preparing to send the issue of election of the president to the Constitutional Court and that they are preparing for the new protest. He added that eventual finding of irregularities on border demarcation with Montenegro will cause additional problems to Thaci.

Montenegro is expected to ratify soon the agreement for demarcation of the border with Kosovo. Montenegro’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Igor Luksic, confirmed the news in an interview for Montenegrin media. “I believe that Montenegro will very soon complete ratification of the agreement for demarcation with Kosovo,” he said.
