Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke yesterday over the phone with US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, Wess Mitchell, BETA news agency reports.

The two officials discussed the situation in the region, in particular Belgrade-Pristina relations.

Chairman of Bosnia and Herzegovina Presidency Milorad Dodik said in Brussels he respects the territorial integrity of Serbia and considers Kosovo as Serbia’s internal matter, Tanjug news agency reports.

Following the meeting with EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn and presidents of European Commission and European Council, Jean-Claude Juncker and Donald Tusk, Dodik stated topics of discussion included B&H European integration and the situation in the region.

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said that Pristina, unlike Belgrade, runs a policy of confrontation and insists on barriers and conflicts, adding she believes such a behavior would go to the detriment of Albanians and would not go without consequences, RTS reported.

Commenting on Pristina’s policy and acts of the Albanian representatives, Brnabic said it is exactly the example where should would like to react impulsively, although this is not a policy of the Serbian Government.

Commenting on a letter Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj sent to the world leaders saying “that Kosovo negotiates with Serbia as a sovereign state”, Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said Haradinaj is unaware of the situation he is in, Blic daily reports.

“If it is so, why they do not become a UN member, join Interpol or UNESCO, why 13 countries have revoked recognitions of Kosovo, and why the USA and the EU accept to look for a compromise,” Dacic told Vecernje Novosti daily.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic welcomed the new Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo, expressing belief she would add with her work a special mark on the iron friendship between the two countries, Tanjug news agency reported.

Vucic added he is proud that relations between Serbia and China are at the highest level in history and that he hopes to welcome Chinese President Xi Jinping to Serbia this year. He voiced satisfaction over an intensive political dialogue and fruitful economic cooperation between the two countries.

Analyst Janusz Bugajski from Washington Center for European Policy Analysis does not exclude a possibility that Kosovo issue is resolved by changing the borders, Tanjug news agency reports.

“Let’s see if both sides are serious, and the way I understood it, in line with such agreement, Serbia should recognize Kosovo as an independent state. Serbia should change its Constitution even before correction of borders is made,” Bugajski said.

Serbian Minister of Defense, Aleksandar Vulin met today Russian Ambassador to Serbia Alexander Chepurin, Radio Television of Vojvodina reports.

Vulin thanked Russian Federation for supporting Serbia’s territorial integrity and efforts to finding a compromise solution for Kosovo and Metohija, as well as consistent and firm support to Serbia in the UN Security Council, whenever the interests of Serbia were jeopardized.

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic said on Monday in Columbus that Serbia wants to build partnerships and friendships all over the world. According to the Serbian government, she also noted that "our relationship with the United States is very important to us."

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Monday that the trade exchange between his country and Slovenia rose from 571 million to 1.3 billion Euros in the last ten years, which indicates that the relations between two countries were significantly better, Beta news agency reported.

Borut Pahor, the President of Slovenia, is in Belgrade for two-day visit to discuss bilateral relations, the situation in the region and Serbia’s European path.
