Lunacek: Kosovo and Serbia to implement agreements (RTK/Zeri)

European Parliament Vice President and Rapporteur for Kosovo, Ulrike Lunacek, told the European Western Balkans web portal that the future of Kosovo and Serbia is closely intertwined and that Kosovo’s European fate strongly correlates with Serbia’s advancement and vice-versa. She said the green light for visa liberalization for the citizens of Kosovo creates a very good momentum and has to be utilized.

Kosovo invited for the first time in Bosnia (Koha)

Representatives of Kosovo’s National Agency for the Protection of Personal Data, will participate in a meeting of counterpart agencies' authorities from Central and Eastern Europe. The meeting will be held in the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo. “It is worth mentioning that it is the first time that the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina is officially inviting Kosovo’s National Agency for Protection of Personal Data" is written in a press release issued by the Agency.

Çollaku: Kosovo to apply for EU candidate status in three years (Koha/RTK)

Kosovo's Minister of European Integration, Bekim Çollaku, said that despite internal challenges that the EU is facing, there was no shifting of interest and engagement towards the Western Balkans countries, including Kosovo. Çollaku spoke about Kosovo’s progress in the EU integration process, mentioning the signing of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) and the positive recommendation for visa liberalization. He said that a positive transformation is happening in Kosovo’s integration journey.

Montenegro: Six persons arrested for human trafficking from Kosovo (NMagazin)

Hina Agency reports that Montenegrin police have arrested six people, two residents of Montenegro, Russia and Kosovo, on suspicion of illegal transportation of  hundreds of people from Kosovo to EU countries since 2013.

Tamara Popovic, spokeswoman for the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Montenegro, says that these six people were arrested on suspicion of having committed the criminal acts of establishing a criminal organization, illegal border crossing and smuggling of people.

Franc Bogovic, member of the European Parliament (EP) and Vice President of the 'Friends of Serbia' EP group, expressed on Monday the hope that current candidates for membership in the European Union - Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Macedonia, Albania and Kosovo - would all be accepted to the European family by the end of 2020.

Kosovo plans to open liaison offices in Greece and Israel (Zeri)

Reportedly, Kosovo’s Foreign Ministry is planning to open liaison representations in two countries that have not recognized its independence: Greece and Israel. Sources told the newspaper that the Foreign Ministry of Kosovo has already sent out requests to relevant authorities in the two countries and that their goal will be to foster economic but also political relations.

TV Most crew from north assaulted near Pristina (B92, RTS, TV Most, Kontakt plus radio, KIM radio)

A crew from TV Most, a broadcaster based in Zvečan/Zveçan, northern Kosovo, was attacked on Tuesday as they were reporting from the town of Obilić/Obiliq, near Pristina.

The broadcaster said that "a younger" ethnic Albanian man first attacked verbally journalist Jasmina Stojković, cameraman Boban Sekulić, and driver Aleksandar Sotlić, and then physically.
