A vehicle owned by a Kosovo Serb was set on fire last night around 11:00 PM in St. Sutjeska in North Mitrovica. The case was characterized as arson.

Minister of Government Administration in Kosovo, Ljubomir Maric urged Serbs in Kosovo to verify whether they were enrolled in the electoral register to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections for the Serbian Parliament on 24 April.

According to him, citizens will show by turning up at the polls that they want to be part of what was agreed, and that was the Community/Association of Serb municipalities.

Intimidation and ill treatment of the employees of the National Theater of Pristina, is a symptom of hatred against Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija and warning that violence could escalate, stated Director of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Đurić.

The political situation in Kosovo after the election of Hashim Thaci as President has been rather tense. The Kosovo opposition, unsatisfied with Thaci's election, but also with the agreement on the establishment of the Community/Association of Serb municipalities (ZSO), announced a new demonstration.

There are 636 attorneys registered in the Kosovo Chamber of Advocates, out of whom 24 are Kosovo Serbs, however only a handful of them actually work.

The only registered Kosovo Serb attorney in last ten years is Dejan Vasic who says that this profession is on the verge of extinction among Serbs. “I was registered by the Chamber of Advocates in 2007. Ten years have passed since that time and not a single person had become the attorney in the meantime,” said Vasic.

In last couple days the idea about creation of a new Serb-majority municipality in Kosovo has been actualized again. However, considering that there are 19 pending requests in the Ministry of Local Government Administration it is questionable how realistic is the creation of a new municipality at this moment.

Prosecutors in Kosovo have pressed terror charges against three alleged Islamic State group supporters, including two who went to the Syrian frontline to wage jihad, an official said Thursday.

The pair allegedly fought with the extremist group in Syria last year while the third "was propagating and recruiting people through Facebook to join IS," Liridona Kozmaqi, spokeswoman of the chief prosecutor's office, told AFP.

Coalition of displaced persons from Kosovo will perform in the elections on the list gathered around the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS), Danas unofficially learned.

The sources of the daily newspaper Danas state that "there was a mood" to enter into the coalition alliance with the Movement of Socialists led by Aleksandar Vulin, but on the eve of the announcement of early elections, there was a change of the decision.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo Branimir Stojanović and Language Commissioner Slaviša Mladenović agreed that strong political support is needed in addressing the issue of failure to respect the Law on Languages.
