Alliance for Serbia: Thaci’s statement evidence that Vucic negotiates handover of Serbian municipalities (Danas)

Alliance for Serbia (SzS) assessed yesterday that statement of Kosovo President Hashim Thaic on the agreement with Belgrade by which Kosovo would get Bujanovac, Medvedja and Presevo municipalities “is yet another evidence” that President Aleksandar Vucic negotiates the handover of the Serbian municipalities, concealing this fact from the public, Danas daily reported.  

Veton Surroi: Independence questionable, we are paying so Thaci does not go to prison (RTS, Tanjug, B92)

“Kosovo is a state that has brought its independence, territorial integrity and Constitution into question,” Pristina-based publicist Veton Surroi has said, according to the Serbian media. He made these remarks on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of Kosovo declaration of independence.

Vucic: Position of Serbia different and better, I am proud (Tanjug, B92, RTS)

Following the talks at Munich Security Conference, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic assessed that position of Serbia is better and different, than it was before, adding he is proud of that, Tanjug news agency reports.

Vucic told RTS that the talks he had in Munich were difficult and good, pointing out that Belgrade-Pristina relations became one of the central issues not only for us and the region, but also beyond it.

Asked how Serbia can respond to Edi Rama’s statement that Kosovo is part of Albania, Vucic said “by serious and responsible politics.”

Serbian President denies having secret meetings with Thaci (Vecernje Novosti, Tanjug)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said yesterday he never had any secret dinner with Hashim Thaci, as representatives of Alliance for Serbia claimed, Belgrade-based daily Vecernje Novosti reported.

Asked to comment allegations that he had secret meetings with Hashim Thaci, Vucic said they did not have secret meetings. “We were in Vienna with Sebastian Kurz. We are not making an event out of it, Sebastian showed photos. Mogherini organized receptions in New York for us. What am I supposed to do?” Vucic said.

He added his job is to negotiate, talk and preserve peace.

Hahn, Vucic and Thaci together at Munich Conference (Tanjug, B92)

The European Commission has announced that the EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn would be member of a panel “Security in Southeastern Europe” at the Munich Conference, together with the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic and Kosovo President Hashim Thaci on 16th February.

 

Alliance for Serbia requests Vucic to say what he discussed with Thaci (Danas, BETA)

Alliance for Serbia (SZS) requested from the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to urgently reveal what he has negotiated with Kosovo President Hashim Thaci during the meetings they had, Danas daily reports.

The Alliance, in a press statement, stressed that Thaci has admitted having secret meetings with the Serbian President Vucic in Paris, New York, Vatican, Brussels and Vienna, thus unequivocally confirming allegations put forward earlier by Peoples’ Party leader Vuk Jeremic, who spoke publicly about these meetings on several occasions.

Hashim Thaci promised to NATO in 2013 that the KSF will not go to the north of Kosovo "without the consent of KFOR," Radio Free Europe said it learned. NATO sources explained that there was an exchange of letters between the-then Prime Minister Hashim Thaci and former Secretary General Andreas Fogh Rasmussen.

Drecun: US can discipline Thaci and Haradinaj (BETA, RTS)

Serbian National Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija Chairman Milovan Drecun said he believes a way would be found to abolish tariffs Pristina imposed on the goods from Serbia, BETA news agency reports.

He added Kosovo Prime Minister Haradinaj and President Thaci need to “find an exit strategy” from a situation they brought themselves in, otherwise they risk losing support of “the sponsors of Kosovo independence.”

McAllister: Vucic and Thaci raised dialogue to new level (Tanjug, Radio KIM)

European Parliament Rapporteur for Serbia, David McAllister urged Pristina authorities to revoke the decision on tariffs on goods from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Tanjug news agency reported.

He noted it is not easy, however Aleksandar Vucic and Hashim Thaci have raised the dialogue to the new level. He called on the both sides to continue dialogue in order to advance on their respective paths to the EU.

Marko Vulovic, manager of Gazivode lake does not exclude possibility Albanians might think to take over Gazivode by force, warning that this could have unprecedented consequences to the both sides.
