German Ambassador in Kosovo: Asymmetry in dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia (Deutsche Welle, Tanjug, Novosti)

German Ambassador in Kosovo, Angelika Viets, said a dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is one of the political priorities in Kosovo, but she cannot see how it would be continued, Serbian media reported late yesterday.

„On one side you have the Prime Minster Vucic, who got very empowered at the last election and has a strong party behind him, while the authorities here are divided into three different groups and there is no national consensus about any topic. In such situation, continuation of a dialogue is hardly possible,” Viets said.

Outgoing PM Mustafa appoints new ministers (Kosovapress)

Outgoing Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, announced the names of four new ministers set to replace the ones elected to the Kosovo Assembly. Avdullah Hoti will be replaced by his deputy Agim Krasniqi to the post of Finance Minister; Vlora Dumoshi will replace Kujtim Shala as the new Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports;  Lutfi Zharku is being replaced to the post of Minister of Infrastructure by Hanefi Muharremi; and Safet Kamberi will replace Arban Abrashi as Minister of Labour and Social Welfare.

USA admonishes Pristina (Novosti)

The confusing political situation in Kosovo should be finally clarified this week, Novosti daily reported today.

According to the daily, it would be clear whether Pristina will get a new government or new elections are underway. It all depends upon the meeting of the leading political parties, scheduled for the coming Wednesday, following the two failed constitutive attempts, more respectively election of the Assembly Speaker, vice presidents and working bodies.

Djuric and Rakic met in Belgrade today (KoSSev portal, RTK 2)

Chair of Srpska Lista, Goran Rakic and Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo, Marko Djuric met today in Belgrade, Serbian media reported.

Statement of the Office for Kosovo said the two officials spoke about the political situation in Kosovo and the position of the Srpska Lista in regard to the establishment of new government in Pristina.

Ivanovic: Persistently to push dialogue forward (Fonet, Danas)

Leader of the Civic Initiative Freedom, Democracy, Justice (GI SDP) Oliver Ivanovic expressed hope that President Vucic would remain persistent to push the dialogue forward, Fonet and Danas daily reported.

Ivanovic also recalled that prime ministers Zoran Djindjic and Vojislav Kostunica had idea of wide talks about Kosovo, as well as the Serbian President Boris Tadic, but none of them unfortunately did not manage to push this idea till the end.

Rakic: Srpska Lista will not participate in consultations (Tanjug, RTS)

Chair of Srpska Lista, Goran Rakic stated that Srpska Lista will not attend the consultations about the date of a constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly.

“As a chair of the Srpska Lista I thank you for the invitation to attend the consultations about the date of a constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly and I may announce Srpska Lista will not attend that meeting. MPs from Srpska Lista would reply to the call to verify their mandates in line with the law, but we do not want Serb MPs and the population to be placed between hammer and anvil,” Rakic stated.

Srpska Lista will not join the Pristina government at all costs, nor will it stay there. In expectation to form the Kosovo Assembly, verify MPs’ mandates and elect the Assembly Speaker, Srpska Lista that enters the Kosovo Assembly as a political party, has clear goals, it knows what it will not accept, Sputnik reported.

Sputnik further learned Srpska Lista has already prepared “a package” to deliver it to the Kosovo Government when the time comes.

Srpska Lista to attend consultations on Assembly session (Kontakt plus radio)

Chief of Srpska Lista, Media Co-operation Office, Igor Simic, stated yesterday afternoon to Kontakt Plus Radio that the Srpska Lista received invitation, to attend on Monday, consultations on the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly.

The invitation came from the Kosovo President Hashim Thaci.

Simic also said the first interest of the Srpska Lista is to advance the position of Serbs, and they are interested to hear what coalition partners could deliver to Serbs living in Kosovo.

Haradinaj brings Serbia back to Kosovo (Sputnik)

Participation of Serbs, in the new government, requesting to have all the rights as stipulated in the Kosovo Constitution, Albanian elite considers as return of Belgrade to this area, Sputnik writes.

Although Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the coalition PAN and winner of the elections in Kosovo, informed Hashim Thaci a week ago, that he has enough votes to form the government, Thaci still did not entrust him a mandate.
