Kosovo Assembly Vice President Xhavit Haliti said that Pristina and Belgrade would not be asked much about the agreement on normalizing relations between Kosovo and Serbia.

He told Pristina based KTV that a legally binding agreement would be reached this year, and only thanks to the high pressure of Western diplomacy, reports KIM radio.

"Pristina's taxes, the so-called Kosovo army, the erasing of the border between Kosovo and Albania - have taken the dialogue not one, but 50 steps backwards," assessed Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic.

Speaking for Pink TV on Friday in Belgrade, Brnabic pointed out that due to all these decisions of the provisional institutions in Pristina she "does not see any indication of a compromise" - and instead believes that Belgrade and Pristina are increasingly removed from one.

Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic say no one can claim that the Kosovo issue will be resolved in 2019.

He also pointed out that the fact that the Brussels dialogue has been stopped for months does not mean that a solution is not being sought.

Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said that the US is ready to organise a signing ceremony between Belgrade and Pristina and to invite other countries to the ceremony. He added that the US National Security Adviser John Bolton had talked about it with the Rusian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

"It’s important for the US that Russia agrees and takes part in it. The great powers must be the guarantee of this agreement because the UN Security Council must adopt it," Dacic told Politika daily.

The Draft Law on Dialogue with Serbia means the official Pristina new approach in Brussels talks, but the question is whether it is realistic and whether it will be applicable in the further course of the dialogue process, professor and expert for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue Belul Beqaj said.

All Serbian media quoted a survey conducted by the Center for Euro-Atlantic Studies in cooperation with CeSID.

According to the survey, 53 percent of citizens are for Kosovo to remain in Serbia at all costs.

Belgrade based daily Danas writes about three possible ways of US engagement in search for a solution to the Kosovo issue.

Commenting on the expected increase of the US engagement in the next phase of negotiations on Kosovo, which many see as final, unofficially Western diplomats for daily Danas cite as the first ''the Kissinger Model''.

Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has assessed that the formation of an army in Kosovo and a statement of a KFOR spokesperson "make a mockery of all agreements," BETA news agency reports.

Foreign Minister and First Deputy PM Ivica Dacic says no armed formations of Albanians can enter northern Kosovo without the consent of KFOR.

Dacic added, speaking on Monday, that this agreement that had been reached with NATO should be translated into a directive that everyone in the field should respect - "in order to avoid a situation that would trigger major problems in Kosovo and Metohija."

There are no signs that the format of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina could change any time soon, said Serbia’s Foreign Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic on Sunday, adding that Serbia is ready to continue the talks but only after Pristina abolishes its 100 per cent tariffs on Serbian products.

“There are no talks from new starting positions,” Dacic told RTS, the public broadcaster.
