Dead or alive (Gazeta Express)

According to him, there are many hidden reasons that keep these parties together just as there are many hidden reasons why Hashim Thaci insists to remain the Prime Minister of Kosovo. These reasons put all of them in front of a “dead or alive” situation.

In its front-page editorial, the paper writes that the battle for power is coming at a high cost for Kosovo. While certain politicians claim that there is no crisis and the current situation is normal for a democratic country, the consequences of not forming new institutions will be serious for all sectors.  The decision of the Constitutional Court that was intended to unblock the situation had an opposite effect and only solidified the positions of the parties while the president’s intervention is not expected to result in any breakthrough, writes the paper.

Serbian List: We will not vote for LAN either (RTK)

Serb members of the Kosovo Assembly abstained from voting for the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) candidate for Assembly President Arsim Bajrami. Serbian List leader Aleksandar Jablanovic said the Serb vote today would not have determined anything. “The List will continue to be constructive in the upcoming sessions. We want the crisis to be resolved and to proceed with the formation of the government … We know that we will not go with Vetevendosje and the revision of negotiations.

Osmani: Next assembly session should be held as soon as possible (Kosovapress)

Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) MP, Vjosa Osmani, said that Assembly chairperson Flora Brovina needs to schedule the next session as soon as possible, “so that the majority can elect the Assembly President, because we saw today that the PDK lacks the necessary votes”. Osmani also said, “we have several scenarios in mind, but we will wait until the next assembly session where the PDK will once again realize that it lacks the necessary votes”. Haliti: PDK will again run with Arsim Bajrami (Gazeta Blic)

Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) MP Xhavit Haliti said the chairperson of the Kosovo Assembly, Flora Brovina, interrupted today’s session based on the decision of the Constitutional Court. Haliti said the PDK would again run with Arsim Bajrami as candidate for the post of Assembly President. “There is no reason to seek the opinion of the Constitutional Court again.
