PDK condemns attack on Kosovo Assembly (Klan Kosova)

The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) strongly condemned the attack on the Kosovo Assembly on Thursday night, considering it as an organized criminal act against the values of the highest legislative institution of Kosovo. “This criminal attack against the Kosovo Assembly is an attack on the achievements of the state and its citizens. The PDK considers that this criminal act is done at a time when debates on issues of national interest are new achievements in our country.

Tapped conversations show Kosovo is controlled by the underground (Insajderi)

The investigative website Insajderi claims to possess more than a thousand telephone conversations of Adem Grabovci, head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) parliamentary group, recorded in 2011 which reportedly show him as the person in charge of party’s illegal activities. According to Insajderi, Grabovci’s phone was tapped by EULEX as part of investigations into his activity while deputy minister of transport.

The President of the Assembly of Kosovo and leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Kadri Veseli, traveled to Philadelphia, the United States of America. “With the invitation of the Democratic Party, President Veseli will be present at the Congress of the U.S. Democratic Party, where Mrs. Hillary Clinton will be officially nominated as candidate for the President of the United States,” informed a press release. During his several-day stay in the U.S., Veseli is expected to meet U.S. senior officials and other personalities from the world.

Montenegrin request first ratification then measuring of the border (Insjaderi)

Slobodan Vujičić, head of the Association of the Montenegrins of Kosovo, said during the roundtable held today that the agreement between Kosovo and Montenegro on the demarcation of the border, should be initially ratified at the Assembly, then both parties should create a commission that would re- measure the border. He added that solution of this matter should not be political being that Podgorica has expressed readiness to make the required measurements once again.

Musmurati: PDK is in favor of ratifying demarcation deal (Telegrafi)

Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) Secretary, Basri Musmurati, has denied reports in some media according to which the PDK is reserved on the border-demarcation deal between Kosovo and Montenegro. Musmurati told the news website that the PDK maintains the same position on the matter. “We have not discussed this issue. But it needs to go forward,” he was quoted as saying.

Negligence of state authorities led to establishment of special court (Kosovapress)

Although members of the Kosovo Assembly have already voted in favor of the establishment of the special court, legal experts in Pristina argue that this was a great mistake and an injustice vis-a-vis the state and people of Kosovo. PDK ready for government’s substantial reformation (Telegrafi)

The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) is ready for a radical reformation of the government, which means not only changing the names, but also substantive and programmatic reform, unidentified sources told the news site. According to these sources, the PDK is ready to reduce the number of ministries, from 19 to only 11 ministries, if the coalition partner Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) agrees to it. The PDK leader Kadri Veseli during this week is expected to meet Prime Minsiter Isa Mustafa to discuss these issues.

Hoti: Talks with Belgrade to be held with approval of opposition majority (Telegrafi)

Kosovo’s Deputy Minister for Culture, Youth and Sports, Rexhep Hoti, said today that talks between Pristina and Belgrade should not continue without the approval of the opposition majority in Kosovo. In a Facebook post, Hoti advised Kadri Veseli, the recently-elected president of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) to involve personalities from the civil society and the media in the process of talks with Belgrade.
