Special Representative of the UN Secretary General and head of UNMIK Zahir Tanin condemned yesterday the threat of ethnic cleansing that was last weekend sent by a Kosovo's deputy, whom he did not name.

The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, said during a telephone conversation with Gazeta Express that he might not be released by the Colmar court tomorrow. He said that theoretically, this court might not decide for his release. However his message for his supporters is to remain calm, being that justice is on his side.
The Justice Ministry has received additional questions from an appeals court in France which is deciding on a Serbian extradition request for Ramush Haradinaj.
The court in the town of Colmar is seeking clarification of legal provisions relating to the crimes Serbia is charging Haradinaj with.
The court has asked to receive a reply by the end of March at the latest, considering that a new hearing has been scheduled for April 6.
European Parliament Vice President, Ulrike Lunacek, reacted to the resolution of the Kosovo Assembly calling for suspension of dialogue with Belgrade by saying both parties need to resume talks. “Belgrade and Pristina must get back to the negotiating table and continue dialogue process. Serbia needs to withdraw its outdated international arrest warrant against Ramush Haradinaj,” Lunacek tweeted.
Kosovo Assembly approved yesterday a resolution sponsored by the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) calling for suspension of dialogue with Serbia until the party leader, Ramush Haradinaj, is released. Kosovo’s Minister for Dialogue, Edita Tahiri, said the Kosovo side will respect the resolution calling it "fair".
Head of the Parliamentary Group of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Pal Lekaj, proposed today again during the Assembly session a resolution related to Ramush Haradinaj’s case. He said that discussions with Serbia should suspend until Haradinaj’s release.
The coalition government parties, the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) were pro resolution for Haradinaj, however they said that the text of the resolution should be harmonized.
The “Students’ Democracy” organization held today a symbolic action in front of the French Embassy, seeking release of the former KLA commander, Ramush Haradinaj. They revealed posters of Vojislav Seselj, accused for war crimes.
Kosovo’s Interior Minister, Skender Hyseni, said in a debate organised by NGO “Fol” today that it was unacceptable for Kosovo Liberation Army fighters to be detained on warrants issued by Serbia. “We have to use our allies that are part of Interpol to invalidate these lists,” said Hyseni. Speaking about the prospect of Kosovo applying for Interpol membership, Hyseni said the issue has been “complicated by Palestine’s application.” The Palestinian Authority’s Interpol membership bid failed after its application was suspended in 2016.
Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić expects a good and open discussion with the head of European diplomacy Federica Mogherini, who is in Belgrade today, but he does not know whether the case of Ramush Haradinaj will be a topic of their meeting.
"I do not know whether it is a topic, maybe she has some other topics. We'll see," Vučić told reporters in Vranje.
Vučić added that he does not know what "they want from us, but he knows what we want from them."
