Raska-Prizren Diocese concerned about the unauthorized construction work at the Cathedral Church of St. Nicholas in Novo Brdo (Serbian media)

Diocese of Raska-Prizren issued a statement with f=great concern over the information that announced the beginning of construction work on the site of an old Serbian medieval church, St. Nicholas, which was the cathedral church for the Serbian Orthodox bishops of Novo Brdo and Gracanica, and which is located near the Novo Brdo fortress.

Radio KiM reports that the remains of the Orthodox Church of St Nicholas in Novo Brdo is being converted by Pristina authorities into a three-necked basilica, which is a great forgery, warned Marko Popovic, co-author of the monograph dedicated to the church.

Popovic claims that a part of the conservation works has already been done, and on the board in front of the site, a reconstruction project has been shown that has nothing to do with the actual situation, reported KIM radio.

A deputy minister’s vehicle torched in Zubin Potok (KoSSev, Kontakt plus radio, RTK2, KIM radio)

A vehicle belonging to the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Welfare in the Kosovo government and member of the Serbian lIst, Milos Perovic was torched early this morning in the center of Zubin Potok.

Kosovo Police spokesperson for the Region North lieutenant Branislav Radovic told KoSSev that the vehicle was set on fire early in the morning at 02:42h in the center of Zubin Potok.

He added that it is a black Volkswagen Passat vehicle with Kragujevac license plates.

Over 400 observers in the upcoming mayoral elections (KIM radio)

The Central Election Commission accredited today 464 observers for the upcoming elections for mayors of four municipalities in the North, reports KIM radio.

Early elections will be held on Sunday for mayors of four municipalities in the north of Kosovo, which will be followed by 464 observers from two political parties, two international missions, European Commission, two diplomatic missions, twelve embassies, one international non-governmental organization, four local NGOs and fifteen media, said today CEC.
