SDF: Serb’s problems identified, solutions to follow (KIM Radio)

Five problems that are worrying Serbian community in Kosovo are insufficient economic development, social and health protection, security and freedom of movement, and education reads conclusion after two days conference dubbed “Joint Voice – Serbian Dialogue Forum” held in Gračanica/Graçanicë in organization of the Center for Peace and Tolerance, Center for Society Orientation and Future Without Fear.

Identification of key Serb’s problems in Kosovo (KIM Radio)

The conference dubbed ‘Power of the Joint Voice”, which aims to identify five key issues of the interest to Serb community in Kosovo, will take place today in Gračanica/Graçanicë in organization of the Center for Society Orientation, Center for Peace and Tolerance and Future Without Fear, with the support of the EU Office in Kosovo. According to the organizers, the event is part of a project ‘Joint Voice’ which will last next 18 months.

SNF: Genocide was committed against Serbs (KIM Radio)

Serbian national forum (SNF) announced that the intention of some Albanian war and post-war leaders to accuse Serbia of genocide against Albanians is a premeditated counter-action because of the fear that Albanians would be accused for committing the genocide against the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija.

As pointed out by the Serbian national forum, some Albanian media warned about this, stating that the draft Law on the Special Court for war crimes in Kosovo mentions the genocide.

Serbian MPs to fight for independent TV channel (KIM Radio)

UNS and DNKiM request postponement of a debate over the law on Radio Television of Kosovo in the Kosovo parliament, until Serbs MPs don’t return to the Assembly.

Association of Journalists of Serbia (UNS) and Association of Journalists of Kosovo and Metohija (DNKiM) reminded Serb MPs in the Kosovo Assembly that there is an ongoing debate over the law on Radio Television of Kosovo, and requested adequate attention of theirs with regard to creation of an independent TV channel in the Serbian language that will cover entire Kosovo territory.

Odalovic: If criminals are in the institutions, let them be worried (KIM radio)

The Special Court is a painful issue for Albanians, because for the first time they will face an international court which will judge the crimes against Serbs and other non-Albanians, told TV KIM Veljko Odalovic, Chairman of the Commission for Missing Persons of the Government of Serbia.

Odalovic says that Albanians have to understand that Kosovo institutions would not be tried, but the crime that was committed against about 3,500 people.

Djuric discusses Kosovo with Latin American diplomats (KIM radio, Tanjug)

The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija, Marko Djuric, met with the diplomatic representatives of several Latin American countries in Serbia on Wednesday, briefing them on the course of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and the situation in Kosovo.

The diplomats from Argentina, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela and Brazil confirmed that their countries have no intention of reversing their position on non-recognition of the unilaterally declared independence of Serbia's southern province, the Office said in a statement.

EU "ready to open first chapters this year" (Dailies)

EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini said in Belgrade on Friday that the organization she represents "sees Serbia's European future."

She stated that she was "ready for the first negotiating chapters to be opened this year."

"And my main message here is not only that Serbia is firmly on the path towards the European Union, but also that the Union is ready for the opening of negotiating chapters this year. It is of mutual importance," she during a joint news conference with Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic.

The decision to suspend the privatization must stay in force (KIM Radio)

Mayor of North Mitrovica Goran Rakic said that Kosovo Privatization Agency (KPA) informed him that the sale of enterprises from the so-called Series 27 and 28 in Northern Mitrovica was postponed indefinitely. However, in the meantime he received a letter from the agency that privatization is still continuing. 

Community of municipalities obligation under Brussels deal (RTS, KIM radio, TV Most, Tanjug)

Politically, establishment of the community of Serb municipalities in Kosovo is an obligation under the Brussels Agreement and it is advocated by Belgrade and the representatives of the Srpska list in the province, the head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija, Marko Djuric, said Wednesday.

The Brussels Agreement is not a "buffet" where everyone can take what suits them, Djuric said at a conference on respect of European human rights conventions in Kosovo, organised by the Strasbourg House of Justice.

Buses stopped, Serb pupils left on the road (TV Most, RTS, KIM radio, IRS)

Two buses that were transporting Serbs pupils were stopped in Gjilan/Gnjilane and excluded from the traffic, while the pupils were left on the road.

Assistant director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Sladjana Markovic has stated that the pupils, whose freedom of movement is already endangered, now have been deprived from their right to safety and education.

The inspection handed the decision on the exclusion from traffic to the bus drivers, written in the Albanian language.
