The plan for Kosovo is ready; We will not sign independence (Vecernje Novosti)

President "not optimistic" after meeting with German FM (Beta, B92, Vecernje Novosti)

President Tomislav Nikolic has said that he is "not very optimistic" after his talks with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Belgrade Tuesday. Opposition party accuses president of violating Constitution (Politika, B92)

The opposition Social-Democrats (SDS) have filed a request to initiate proceedings for the removal of President Tomislav Nikolic from office. The parliamentary group of the party - led by former Serbian President Boris Tadic - said that Nikolic had violated the Constitution. The group's deputy head Janko Veselinovic told reporters on Wednesday that the request was filed because of Nikolic's comments published by the daily Politika, when he spoke about War Crimes Prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic's announcement he would investigate war crimes accusations presented against army chief Ljubisa Dikovi

Nikolic: Erosion of autonomy of northern Kosovo has to stop (RTK2)

The President of Serbia, Tomislav Nikolic, said that Serbia has to stop the erosion of autonomy of northern Kosovo. In his interview to Belgrade-based daily ‘Politika’ he said that he didn’t give up on platform for Kosovo and that he will for sure forward his proposal to the government because, as he said, something has obviously changed in the EU with regard to its attitude toward Serbia. He added that he talks about the platform with the Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic in order that his proposal is accepted by the government.

Nikolic says "Europe won't like" his Kosovo platform (Novi Magazin, B92)

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic has said that he was glad that the agreement on the judiciary in Kosovo was reached in Brussels. Academics will give the opinion about the plan on Kosovo (Vecernje Novosti)

The Serbian highest officials will present the announced plan for Kosovo and Metohija to our most important national institutions, before they present it to the domestic and international public.  The new plan, which will together compose the head of state, Tomislav Nikolic and Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic will be presented to the Patriarch and the bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

I share Nikolic’s concern (Politika)

We have a president with the same constitutional authority that had Milosevic and Tadic. Nikolic's position in the political relations is weaker because he is not head of the largest party, while Milosevic and Tadic were. I do not know what is the idea of President Nikolic and on what refers a new platform on Kosovo. As the Prime Minister told me, so far he and the president did not discuss about what is actually meant when it comes to this platform. There is no dispute about that in Serbia there are talks about it.
