MFA distributes to UN documentary of the Humanitarian Law Center (Koha)

Kosovo’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, distributed through its Consulate in New York the documentary published by the Humanitarian Law Center, to the UN permanent missions and observes.

According to the Ministry, the documentary offers “convincing” evidence on the level of impunity of Serbia’s war crimes committed against Kosovo Albanian civilians.

Palokaj: Who is the dialogue for? (Koha Ditore)

Fungo: Only KFOR is authorized army in Kosovo (Koha Ditore)

KFOR Commander Giovanni Fungo, was asked in a written interview of the paper, to comment the war-inducing comments of the Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić, who threatened to send the army to Kosovo. Fungo said that the force that he commands, is the only army that can act in Kosovo. He added that this was also decided by the Kumanovo agreement, signed between NATO and Serbia in 1999. He also stressed that during the tensions of the last weekend, KFOR was in the state of alert.

The EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, spoke to Kosovo President Hashim Thaci about the recent events regarding the Serbian train that was bound for Kosovo’s north. The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, leads today in Brussels with the delegation of Kosovo at the first meeting between the Council of Stabilization Association Agreement and Kosovo.

Kosovo’s delegation led by PM Isa Mustafa, is represented by ministers Enver Hoxhaj, Abdullah Hoti, Skënder Hyseni, Hykmete Bajrami and deputy minister Anila Statovci.

Air pollution in Pristina crosses red line (Koha Ditore)

Pristina has entered the red category with regards to air pollution, the air quality index supported by the US Embassy shows. The level of air pollution in Pristina has reached 161 which puts the Kosovo capital under the “unhealthy” category. Pristina Municipality did not comment on the recent figures saying it will come out with a report on the matter this Friday. At the same time, officials from the Green Party said the air pollution in Pristina is at an “alarming” scale.
