Kocijancic: Normalisation of Kosovo-Serbia relations, obligatory (Koha)

The European Commission Spokesperson,  Maja Kociajncic, said that at the end of the discussions for Serbia’s membership at the European Union, Belgrade and Pristina should completely normalize their relations. This normalization should be described in a binding agreement between the parties.

“Recognition of Kosovo’s independence is not mentioned in our negotiating framework,” Kocijancic said.

European Commission Spokesperson, Maja Kocijancic, informed that the Presidents of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci and President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, will meet tomorrow in Brussels. She said that the two leaders will be exchanging opinions on the resumption of the dialogue for normalization of the relations in function of the July agreement, for the start of a new phase of the dialogue.

Ekonomia Online news website quoted European Commission spokesperson, Maja Kocijancic, as reiterating that Kosovo needs to implement two more conditions before being granted visa liberalisation: continue fight against high-level corruption and organised crime and conclude border demarcation with Montenegro.
