Lunacek opposes Kosovo Assembly resolution for suspending talks with Serbia (RTK)

European Parliament Vice President, Ulrike Lunacek, reacted to the resolution of the Kosovo Assembly calling for suspension of dialogue with Belgrade by saying both parties need to resume talks. “Belgrade and Pristina must get back to the negotiating table and continue dialogue process. Serbia needs to withdraw its outdated international arrest warrant against Ramush Haradinaj,” Lunacek tweeted.

Veseli: KSF main partner in Kosovo for KFOR (RTK)

President of the Kosovo Assembly, Kadri Veseli, told Kosovo Security Force (KSF) cadets at the “Adem Jashari” barracks today that he called for a meeting to discuss Kosovo entering an important process of KSF transformation into an army. “You have created the possibility of Kosovo facing a historic decision,” Veseli told the cadets. He said a Kosovo army would serve all citizens and work on good relations with all neighbours.

Opposition MPs leave the Assembly session due to the decision on Haradinaj (RTK)

Opposition MPs decided to leave the Assembly session after the decision of the French court to postpone the verdict for the former Prime Minister of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj for 6 April.

Kosovo Assembly MP from the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), said that today’s decision of a provincial court in France to extend Haradinaj’s staying in France is a clear abuse of the human rights and a tendency to discredit an entire war.

Bangladesh recognizes Kosovo’s independence (RTKlive)

Kosovo has received yet recognition of its independence, this time from the Bangladesh, which is the 144 state that recognizes Kosovo as a state.

The news was announced by the Deputy President of the Assembly of Kosovo, Xhavit Haliti, during the Kosovo Assembly session. He stated that this is an official notification of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Thaci: Serbia planned annexation of Kosovo north (RTK)

In an interview to Radio Sweden, President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci said that Serbia had plans to annex the north of Kosovo but that they were thwarted by the actions of Kosovo institutions. Head of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) parliamentary group, Pal Lekaj, dismissed the findings of the commission for measuring the territory of Kosovo saying it produced "a filthy result.” Lekaj said the commission was Prime Minister Isa Mustafa’s “pawn” and was set up to “legitimize plans for crippling territory of Kosovo.”

Fajon: Visa liberalisation depends on Kosovo politics (RTK)

European Parliament Rapporteur for visa liberalisation for Kosovo, Tanja Fajon, said today at the summit of European countries Foreign Affairs Parliamentary Committees taking place in Pristina that Kosovo needs to ratify border demarcation agreement with Montenegro to pave way for visa-free travel. “I would like to offer support for demarcation. I urge the legislators not to stop processes and visa liberalisation for political interests. Utmost efforts need to be made to ratify the agreement in the coming days,” Fajon said.

Thaci: Dialogue with Serbia facilitating freedom of movement (RTK)

President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, said today at the cornerstone-laying ceremony for the crossing point between Kosovo and Serbia in Merdare that Kosovo is strengthening its international standing through taking part in the dialogue with Serbia and that the process will end in mutual recognition. “The laying of this foundation is another testimony that we have pursued the road of dialogue, we pursued the road of building new bridges of cooperation. Kosovo has always respected freedom and movement and this is why we signed the agreement in Brussels,” Thaci said.
