PDK voted for the no-confidence motion, Mustafa’s government is down (RTK)

The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) has voted for the motion of no-confidence on the government of Kosovo.

With 78 votes for, 34 against and 3 abstentions, Kosovo Assembly has removed the mandate of the government of Kosovo with Isa Mustafa as Prime Minister. The motion of no-confidence was initiated by the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) and supported by opposition parties. This voting will lead to early elections in Kosovo.

Ministry of Justice claims criminal code changes are taken from German law (RTK)

In a statement to the media, Kosovo’s Ministry of Justice has clarified that the proposed provisions to the Criminal Code of Kosovo regarding offenses against state symbols have been taken from the German legislation which is known as a country with highest standards of human rights safeguards. Furthermore, said the Ministry of Justice, offenses against constitutional authorities are also sanctioned in other EU countries like France, Italy, Poland, Greece, Lithuania, Slovenia.

Mustafa: Dialogue has produced positive results (RTK/Telegrafi)

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, said in a debate today on the fourth anniversary of the first Pristina-Belgrade agreements that the dialogue has produced positive results and has enabled Kosovo institutions to exercise control over the north and integrate Serbs into Kosovo institutions. Furthermore, Mustafa said, agreements reached in Brussels through the EU facilitation have also provided Kosovo its own dialing code.

Tanin: Only UN Security Council can shut down UNMIK (various media)

The Committee for Foreign Affairs, met today with Zahir Tanin, Special Representative of the UN Secretary General. After the meeting which lasted more than two hours, Tanin said to the media that UNMIK is a decision of the Security Council and that this is the reason why they are here. Hoti: Return of Serbian List to Kosovo institutions, part of RYCO agreement (RTK)

Kosovo’s Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth, and Sports, Rexhep Hoti, said that the decision of the Serbian List to return to Kosovo institutions is part of an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia. Hoti said Kosovo agreed to the Secretary General of the Regional Youth Cooperation Office of the Western Balkans (RYCO) being appointed by Serbia in exchange for the return of the Serbian List. “This is the truth of the matter in question,” Hoti said. “Of course, all this agreement would not have been possible without the direct contribution of Germany,” he added.
