Assembly presidency meeting postpone due to lack of quorum (media)

Several news websites report that the Kosovo Assembly Presidency has postponed its meeting due to lack of quorum on decision-making. “Due to the lack of quorum on decision-making, we are postponing the meeting of the Assembly Presidency for another day, because some of our colleagues are not in the country,” Assembly President Kadri Veseli is quoted as saying.

Head of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) parliamentary group, Pal Lekaj, dismissed the findings of the commission for measuring the territory of Kosovo saying it produced "a filthy result.” Lekaj said the commission was Prime Minister Isa Mustafa’s “pawn” and was set up to “legitimize plans for crippling territory of Kosovo.”

Commenting on the actions of Kosovo institutions to prevent the Belgrade-Mitrovica train from reaching its destination, Lekaj said that the government should show the same determination with regards to the Mitrovica North wall instead of fighting for who will take more credit for sending the Kosovo Police units to the north.

Several news websites report that the Kosovo Assembly has decided to discuss on Friday the recently-built wall in Mitrovica North. Pal Lekaj, head of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) parliamentary group, initially suggested that the wall should be discussed today but later agreed for discussions to be held on Friday. Assembly President, Kadri Veseli, said he agrees with Prime Minister Isa Mustafa’s proposal to discuss the matter on Friday.

The inability of the ruling coalition to conclude issues such as the border demarcation with Montenegro – a requirement for visa liberalisation – and delays in meeting certain obligations from dialogue with Serbia and the inability to form the Armed Forces could take Kosovo to early elections next spring. Do you oversee where and why your deputies travel”, Lekaj asks.

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) parliamentary group chief, Pal Lekaj, said today that Serbian List’s decision to boycott Kosovo Assembly may bring tensions to the situation in northern Kosovo and will contribute to the growing political demands of Serbs in Kosovo. “The decision of the Serbian List to boycott Kosovo institutions may bring tensions in the north,” Lekaj said. These developments, according to him, would have to make Prime Minister Isa Mustafa reflect and pave the way for a new political momentum for Kosovo.
