Grabovci: We are not afraid of protests (Zeri)

The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) led by Hashim Thaci believes the April 18 protest announced by the opposition parties – the Vetevendosje Movement, Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA), is unreasonable. Haradinaj: This is a government of failure (Gazeta Express)

Ramush Haradinaj, the leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), told a press conference in Pristina today that the government of Kosovo is a government of the mafia, the underground and organized crime. “This government has killed all hope among the people of Kosovo, it has triggered strikes, protests, disatisfaction and has forced people to flee the country as a result of deceiving politics, false promises and consequent failures,” Haradinaj said. “Only a capital change will help improve the situation in the country and will bring back the hope among the Kosovo people.”

Termkolli withdraws signature in SHIK investigation (Koha)

Melihate Tërmkolli, MP from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), after leaving her former party the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) has withdrawn from signing the request to set up a parliamentary committee that would investigate activities of the former Kosovo Intelligence Service.  Tërmkolli has been the most prominent MP in Parliament accusing SHIK for numerous murders after the conflict in Kosovo.

AAK does not support draft law for special court (Gazeta Blic)

Donika Kadaj Bujupi, Head of the Parliamentary Group of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), stated that Assembly’s chairmanship did not discuss at its meeting today  inclusion of the discussions for the special court in the agenda of Kosovo Assembly. However, she added that her party will not support the draft law for the special court, “because it is harmful for Kosovo.” According to her, Serbia and not Kosovo committed genocide in Kosovo. The next Assembly session will be held on Thursday.

AAK requires transparency for the agreement reached in Brussels (RTKLive)

The chairmanship of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), issued a press release on Wednesday, saying it is essential that the Kosovo government provides transparency and accountability on the agreement on justice, reached between Pristina and Belgrade in Brussels. “AAK expresses its concern about the rush to reach agreement on justice, which resulted in improvisation presented through special quotas and undermining the constitutional order of Kosovo.

AAK: We support protests and condemn violence (RTKlive)

The leadership of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) condemned the violent acts on Tuesday’s protest. “AAK considers that the protests are a democratic tool to express the dissatisfaction of people. The requirements directed to the government are legitimate and fair. We believe that civic protests do not intend to harm the state, but to end the humiliation and blackmail that is being done to the citizens of Kosovo.  AAK will continue to support protests until the legitimate demands and rights are fulfilled.

AAK start collecting MP signatures for Jablanovic’s dismissal (Telegrafi)

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) today has started collecting signatures of members of Parliament to request the dismissal of Aleksandar Jablanovic, the Kosovo Minister for Communities and Returns. Protests are being held in several Kosovo cities against Jablanovic who used the word beasts referring to protesters in Gjakova.

AAK decides on internal party elections (Gazeta Blic)

The General Council of Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) decided that AAK will launch internal party elections on 21 March. Ramush Haradinaj, the leader of AAK  announced that the internal elections will have far-reaching reforms of the party and “all those who eventually are involved in racketeering will have no place in this party”.
