Support to the team for drafting the Statute of the ZSO (Vecernje Novosti, Kossev)

The Management Team for the drafting the Statute of the Community/Association of Serb Municipalities (ZSO) held on Monday its first meeting with legal experts in local self-government, reported Serbian media. On Monday, the Team members met the Mayors of northern municipalities and Dean of the Law faculty of University of Pristina based in North Mitrovica, Serbian media reported.

These experts were “delegated” by the four northern municipalities and the Faculty of Law in North Mitrovica.

Ministers instructed to talk with foreigners about Kosovo (N1, Vecernje Novosti, Kossev)

Serbian ministers were instructed to focus on the Kosovo problem every time they speak to their foreign counterparts, especially with those representing countries that are believed to be willing to withdraw their recognition of Kosovo, according to Vecernje Novosti.

The measure is part of Serbia’s diplomatic offensive aimed at decreasing the number of countries that recognize Kosovo’s independence.

Pristina deploys police to deny Belgrade officials entry (B92, N1, Kossev)

Two hundred twenty-two discs (CDs) were seized yesterday at the Jarinje crossing. They were found during a control of the vehicle, by which three persons of Serb ethnicity were traveling, announced the Kosovo Police, reports Kossev.

According to the 24-hour Kosovo Police report, according to the words of the three men where discs were found - these discs had footage of March 2004 events. By the order of the prosecutor, as the report states further, entry to Kosovo was banned for the three men, reports Kossev.

Opportunity for journalists beginners (KIM radio)

A series of workshops for journalists beginners from Kosovo and those who want to pursue journalism will start in March, and will end with study visits to influential and professional media outlets in Belgrade and Pristina in April, reports KIM radio.

Journalists and local media editors from Kosovo, colleagues from the Insajder, BIRN and N1 newsrooms will be transferring their experiences and introduce trainees with the basics of journalism and professional standards in their work.

Slavisa Ristic, president of the People's Movement of Serbs from Kosovo ''Fatherland'' (RTV Mir, Kossev)

MP in the Serbian Parliament Slavisa Ristic from Zubin Potok today was unanimously elected President of the People's Movement of Serbs from Kosovo "Fatherland", report Serbian media based in Kosovo.

More than 70 delegates from the entire territory of Kosovo attended the election assembly.  As vice presidents are elected Dr. Nenad Kojic from Vitina and engineer Nebojsa Radulovic from Leposavic.
